It's so frustrating when people see themselves as so powerless. When in actual fact if she (and millions others) realised we only need to have a little bit of back bone, this wouldn't need to be suffered.

@2020member  many many people are fearful and can not see beyond that.  We have to take whatever steps we're comfortable with, it's different for everyone and that's OK.

I live near southend in essex.

The large supermarkets have someone on the door - so I just simply avoided these stores, so not sure what would have happenned.

So I just went to the independent store and they served me no problem at all, some customers were wearing masks some weren't.

I also wrote to my MP about masks.

Part of the reply I received said

"Whilst many people are already choosing to wear face masks, it is obviously a huge infringement of people’s civil liberties. I also believe it will be difficult to enforce and must be left to people’s common sense and the community spirit to try and stop the spread of infection and save lives."

Reading between the lines I kinda from the above and the tone of the email in general, I got the impression he isn't that keen on the masks himself.

Personally I will not wear one unless there is a real necessity to do so. So far there hasn't been. Independent shops and online supermarkets have served me fine. If I have to go on the train I will say I can't wear one because of anxiety. But I do have a Donald Trump facemask, so I will bring that with me and put it on if they were to be insistent!

@Mr H  that's a pretty positive response from your MP and worth thanking him for his well-reasoned comments.  This is something I need to do but it may well turn into an essay!

Yes, my first email to my MP over the crisis was a mega essay with all the stats etc showing him why this was all a load of bollox. I didn't get a response.

Since then I have sent two emails, one about BLM and one about Face Masks, both were succinct, extremely polite and both had positive responses.

Edit: prior to this I have never contacted my MP!

If anyone could get away with wearing a mask like that, it's him. Thanks for that this cheered me up. Been feeling pretty overwhelmed and quite down the last couple days, with all this madness going on. Brought a smile to my face.

JUst went to local Tesco extra with my head held up high, without mask, could sense a feeling of being Free and a smirk on my face, I noticed only two other customers without one, shop assisitants were all wearing them, i went to a till to a lady on the till  who wasnt wearing a mask( till operators don't need to wear one because of the screen protecting them, although she wasnt in an air tight box ).

I decided way back when all this got going (probably around march) that the whole thing was media circus bullshit but I had a nasty feeling it was going to worm its way into my life whether I liked it or not. The imposition of mandatory muzzles was that worm, so having seen it coming I've had no trouble dealing with it. My policy is this, I will never while I can draw breath submit to putting on a muzzle, we don't have any in the house and won't be buying any, ever. If all the food shops said tomorrow, you can't come in without a mask, I would happily starve to death. I would literally have to be held down while they put one over my face and they'd have to cuff me to stop me ripping it off. My policy in a nutshell is simply this, these weasels can take all their fear, all their lies and all their pathetic face nappies and fuck right off.

I wear a mask b/c I actually like not being obviously noticed for once. lol Plus, I have always hated American culture, b/c I have been sneezed on with full snots too many times in a given year, that we dont cover our faces when we are indeed sick. So, maybe we might start having some common sense about basic common curtesy like they do in Asia.

With that said.

Stay 6 feet away. (666)

The Kneeling Ceremony but for who? Obedience to whom? Saw my favorite billionaire do it. Says a lot, dosent it?

Might get you some men in pink high heels and wigs tho!!!!! Have you thought about why they are airing kneeling stories all over the world??? About different topics, not just BLM now. Obedience.

To whom???

Why would he be calling them to assemble???

NWO!! People that do have guns, need to be careful to protect them, we know what comes next. Fake news. Maybe its for different reasons and its just a polite gesture to the goat man. lol .....but the stories I saw were full of BO goat smell!!!!

went into sainsburys just there and it seemed 50/50.

only occurrence was when i got to the till and as i was about to be served over the announcement it said about people who have hidden disabilities may not be able to wear a mask so please be mindful and respectful, but the lady at the till who also wasn't wearing a mask just scanned my items and hastily and firmly moved them down to the bottom. she was a cheeky bastard. she just took my payment without saying a word or looking at me once. as i took my change i turned my back and let out a loud "haha".

i'd be a regular in sainsburys and know this lady from serving me hundreds of times and she is normally pleasant.

this shite brings out the beast in people.

Ive been going tescos with no real issues now that I have got my head together and know they cant touch me. I glided past the sanitiser station, never touch the stuff, and got my food. One of the member's of staff who was stood next to another made an OTT gasping 'OMG' noise so I glared at them and carried on. Im going to hopefully start to relax and smile at people as I get more used to it. Still on the defensive abit atm.

What was nice was going for a meal in a little restaurant last night. We didnt book, just popped heads in and asked if any tables. They said we could sit at the bar till table ready. Didnt have to leave names. Whole place was almost normal. No visors no masks. Tables were not miles apart and staff were relaxed and not scared to lean over with the pepper of parmesan.

Not sure if I have discovered a little underground italian resistance there as everyone was really chilled and there were no signs or tape on the floor. Can see why it was full.
