Nope I heard he was going to post a link to the new one.

I am assuming we will have to sign a new account up.

Has the link to the new forum been posted somewhere?

As far as I've been involved, all the way back when Sean left, the forum was always a dog pile of insults and accusations.

I wish whoever takes it on, all the luck in the world.

Not only you. We are all being insulted by the exact same pile of shit by the same psychos, whenever we post. Here and elsewhere as well. That is the price of free speech.

What we learned from David - being one of the main reasons we RESPECT him so much - that we should ignore/endure the insults and keep fighting the good fight regardless.

You guys have the means and supporting background to keep this platform up and running. So please do so.
It is the request of a wonderful community that support your family. It is not just for us who wish to preserve our sanity in a mad and maddening world, but it is for the very noble cause David devoted his entire life to.

(PS: so far I haven't seen any insults on these forums, but I am a new member)

To be perfectly honest, I see nothing wrong with this forum at all and have never understood why so many have been demanding a new one. Right now we're involved in the fight of our lives, and we shouldn't be squabbling about new forums and old content being restored. It's just petty.

I don't think there ever was a demand for a new forum, in fact I think most of the grumbling has been because of the loss of the old forum which looks like it's going to be replaced by something that isn't as good as what we have now. I can understand why some people would be a bit upset at what has gone on and the loss the old forum. I'm still a bit grumpy about that and I've only got 300 posts here.

This really should have been resolved amongst the staff before being properly communicated with the members instead of the scraps of info here and there leaving everyone confused and leading to miscommunication and frustration. With that being said, I think the accusations being levelled at Gareth are unjustified and unfair and it's easy to do when you're not directly involved and when there's a whole bunch of stressful shit going down. I can understand why Gareth would no longer want to deal with this level of forum negativity, as I too would probably say "fuck this shit, I can do without this".

The hackers (and their backers) must be loving all this as it would appear that they have had a victory. They've managed to nuke a big chunk of forum and get the members to fight amongst themselves. Now hopefully we can defy them and make sure that even though they may have won a battle, they're not going to win the war, if we unite and come back stronger and cut down on the squabbling.

I will talk to Dwayne on Wednesday as I've said I would, and will advise that someone else takes over the forum, and we'll remove ourselves from it. Don't need this. It's a free forum that was provided, and has caused nothing but hassle. I have a million different jobs to juggle and being told "you're not your dad" is not one of them.

Gareth, you must surely realise that some of the negativity directed towards you is not coming from genuine forum members. I see the baddies and some of them are on this thread. Your mind has been disturbed and you need to take stock and think clearly again. Don't do exactly what the PTB would want you to do. We aren't going to win this without taking some serious shit. How could it be otherwise? Please stick around and don't remove yourself from running this forum or the new forum. We need you. It doesn't matter how long it takes. We can work it all out. Peace.

That's a good point.

We mustn't forget that this forum was actually the victim of a cyber crime. Cracking systems like that is illegal, not to mention deeply unethical.

I took the afternoon off yesterday (a Sunday) and went for some beers with my brother. Something I haven't done for months.

I then got up to very shitty emails from ink about how I was ignoring him but posting on Twitter. I wasn't checking emails as I had taken the afternoon off.

I have since read through all the posts in this forum and the insults for things I've had nothing to do with, and I'm out.

The original forum is on a server that our current webmasters can't get access to. We've had a history of dreadful webmasters. Some bad, some I would suggest intentionally bad. And we're picking up the broken bits of china and trying to put them back together.

The original forum will eventually be put back up, but I don't know when that will be because it's not actually me trying to find it. I wouldn't know where to start.

Once again, I'm sorry for the issues.

I am sorry to hear what you are feeling. :classic_sad:

As someone posted previously, I do believe there are some who are here to stirr things up still which is nothing new.

As for you've been told that "you are not your dad" which is true but you are one of us and you are doing your bit.

Please don't take it personally, there are many who really appreciate what you have contributed so far. There is no law to say you have to be minding the affairs 24/7 or 8hrs per day.

If you can only afford to log in to check messages once a week to keep things ticking....so be it. We are all free volunteers here and we've got things to do.

Remember, your father went through a kind of initiation, with Wogan, ridiculed in public and came through.

While you could say, I'm not my dad, I don't need this and I am only helping out a bit but we all have trials that comes along in our lives.

If it's not for us, the forum, please rise above it for yourself and for your family because if you don't master this, there will be another opportunity that will come along till you get it.

I know you can do it Gareth, you are strong and balanced.

It's probably not a best time....juggling with work, family issues etc....but  when it rains, nothing seems like the best time. I've been there many times.

When there is a storm, you need to use all of your skills to ride through that wave. I worked my way through working all night when everyone is a sound sleep, just so that I can get ahead of my enemy. It's not an easy task if one is already suffering from chronic fatigue but I had to carry on and I am coming through. Thanks to my helpers. As a spiritualist, I would like to remind you that you are not alone especially you are fighting for a good cause. 'Not alone' in a sense that you have family and friends but there are spirit helpers who will guide you.

There are many things you can do right now for yourself and if you need help on this, I can give you a few things (not meditation or going for a walk kind of thing) to make your life easier. Please don't hesitate to message me in private.

Guys, there will be a new moon on 20th. There is still a lot of tug of wars, power struggles but new beginning is coming.

Stay strong everyone.

Unfortunately, it's the ptb who make up the laws and more importantly are in charge of enforcing (or not) whatever laws they want. They have already made it clear that they consider David Icke and his ideas to be dangerous and a threat to public health, so they're not going to be rushing to investigate this crime. We'll just have to take it on the chin and come back stronger. Using David as an example, he's taken many hefty blows and he's still there standing strong. What he could do with imo, is people to stand strong with him and support him. The dickheads attacking Gareth are not helping in that regard.

As cliched as it may sound, it really is time for us to unite because we will need the strength to deal with the shit storm of bollocks that the ptb are busy seeding.

Sorry to hear that. But if the owners of this platform don't believe it is worth keeping a platform alive for those who support their work and cause, then we do have to move on and find another place where our effort is appreciated.
That's what David himself says in many interviews: "No excuses and no playing the victim. Move on."

There does to be a ‘let’s all leave the forum’ movement being orchestrated. I don’t like the idea of the new social media thing myself tbh but I also don’t want to ‘leave’. I’m hoping we can have the choice of both and still keep visiting this forum, I was also hoping against hope that we’d still get all the old forum stuff back, all that knowledge and research, like a fav book you can’t read again. I’ll remain hopeful though

Hmmm. I don't agree. This place has been a place of sanity for me and others.  Yes, there's shills, trolls and everything else you'd expect to gravitate towards David. But also learning, debate fun, argument, friendships - the whole lot.

David frequently references things discussed on the forum so we know he reads it.

I've been a bit under the weather for a while, and pretty much going to bed when I'm not at work - on returning from furlough, my director's been off pretending to be ill with stress, and one of the MD's has left, so I've been doing their workloads as well as my own, and I'm wiped out really, so that's why I've not been around.

I've just read this whole thread, and it makes me sad.

I haven't had an email re the other forum, unless it's gone in my spam, of which I get many and look at none before deleting. But, with no ill feeling meant towards anyone, the new place doesn't sound like my cup of tea.

The social aspect was a webmasters idea and he has spent a while building it. We were hoping that we could build up a community aswell as a forum for debate. We get tonnes of emails daily from people that feel alone and disconnected from friends and family when it comes to their views. They avoid posting on FB about their beliefs as it comes back and they get abused for it etc. They ask if there is a community that we know of. Hence trying to set up something that would assist that.

Unfortunately in the list of things, the forum isn't at the top so when major issues have come up with the site, or ickonic, the forum gets knocked down the list. That's not ideal, and its frustrating for me too, as I'm hassling to get stuff done, and then I get shirty posts and shirty emails about things not being fixed on time.

This bit I fully appreciate and I completely understand and agree. I think I may have hinted at this elsewhere, with Ickonic you were looking to provide an 'alternative' to YouTube, now with the new Social, you're looking to provide an 'alternative' to Facebook et al. This kind of thinking, I absolutely do not disagree with.

I understand that some people won't like the new set up and I understand that they might want to set up their own forum. I would absolutely encourage them to do that. The more places with people talking about what's happening, the better.

This I also completely agree with, and I pretty much said as much in my 'Tips On Preserving Your Own Forum Contributions' topic here.

I've said all along that people with valuable information to be shared should do so in as many places as they can. I added a forum to my own website, not to try and 'rival' or draw people away, but to provide an alternative place for people to post comments and research.

The more that valuable research and information is spread across multiple websites, the harder it is for that information to be shut down.

Some people will be more comfortable with the new 'social' format, others are more comfortable with a 'traditional' bulletin board style format. What's most important is the information itself, and getting it to other people.

"Cross-posting" and sharing is going to be invaluable, and I agree it should be encouraged.

"forum dies today"       Im guessing  it relates to the recent issues & announcements .which depending  if youve not read from start?? heres  my shortened version as i understand it. ...

The expected announcement of forum latest update appeared  after recent set backs & delays  which lead to  further frustrations when more complications meant future expectations mite not be met.  Would you, with your fine perspicacity, elucidate as to who these ‘baddies’ are; I am asking out of genuine curiosity, no anger, no sarcasm, no negativity.

I just don’t think it’s the thing to point the finger without specifics; on a forum like this especially.

Thank you.

I have been talking to Dwayne today, and we've decided the best course of action is that we run the two side by side. We will spend tomorrow updating and reopening this particular forum, and it will be run by the current moderators. I will be a silent admin, as for me to walk away, take my dads name off the forum and move servers etc, is a complete data protection horror show. We couldn't just hand over everyone details and so we'd basically just be binning off the forum. While I was a tad cheesed off last night, that would be a complete dick move and I'm not willing to do that.

So this will go back to normal but with updates, and I will simply have a foot in the door should it be required.

Once the new social is glitch and bug free, we'll open that along side it and hopefully they'll work in unison. We don't spend all night in the same pub after all.

No emails and automatic move to the social will happen. It will just be there if people want to use it. I'll let folks know when that is.

People should absolutely join different forums, and set up ones of their own though. I stand by that. More the merrier.

Anyway, we'll have this back open to new members and everything by end of play tomorrow. I just want to be sat at the same desk going over everything so it's not just a phone conversation.

As for the original DIF. We have it and it is on a server. We know which one, but believe it or not, we've not had access to it. I've never been in a position of management or organisation before recently, and things were run in a crazy way at times. I was always reliant on hassling someone else to do something so I could report back, which is where the perception of ignorance has come from. That isn't how it will be from now on in, so touch wood, everything can run a tad more smoothly from now on.

Not fishing for any form of sympathy, but we are a small team, that covers all the different aspects of what my Dad does, and in the last few months, we've been deleted by facebook, YouTube, mail chimp (whole email database deleted by them), Paypal, Vimeo (both Dads and Ickonic), Waterstones, and our two book fulfilment warehouses have refused to continue to stock our books and have given us a months notice to clear out stock. Then there is the hack of the forum, and the week long massive DDOS attacks on both David Icke.com and Ickonic.

These are crazy times and with us trying to fix all these issues, the forum fell into the cracks at times.
