AndyJ
I think it's mainly a social media based thing all this cancel culture stuff, I'd say people who don't spend every waking hour on those platforms are too busy getting on with their real lives to give a shit that some "celebrity" has said something "offensive". Offense is taken not given. When people go on witch hunts it says more about the person claiming to be offended than it does about the subject of the hunt. And how could anyone be offended by an opinion anyway? It's just an opinion, big deal. What difference does it really make to people's lives unless they're anger junkies looking for outrage to fill some malady within them. At the end of the day it comes down to fear again. So many people live their lives in the trauma of their past or fear of the future so their frontal cortex is offline, common sense goes out of the window and they're triggered by anything deemed even remotely "offensive" to them. They need to take greater responsibility for their own consciousness and perception then they'll find the world around them becomes a much more positive place. 6

Policies are social media-driven, social engineering is social media driven. The news is social media driven

My Dad is 81 and hasn't got the internet, not even a smart phone ( just a basic mobile phone for essential phone calls) so he is oblivious to all this nonsense as I bet most people of his age are.

oddsnsods
Not just the left, anyone who criticises Israel gets attacked look at David & the CAA. Or the amount of times they've hounded him & even taken him to court. Now all these digital hate platforms out to cancel you & even take your kids away for pre crime. Also if you dare question the offical covid1984 narrative. A few weeks back a Starmer fired Rebecca Long for sharing an Independent article that mentioned Israel in a bad light. The article wasent about that in particular, but just dared to mention & of course she got fired for aNtISeMiTiSm. Cancel culture is gangstalking basically, stalking, doxxing & destroying your career. 2

MatchaLove
I have seen "cancel culture" claims being used on people that have done actual things wrong, as kind of a scapegoat kind of thing. So, how do we know its not a knew trend phrase being used to protect people in high places from being caught doing things wrong? How about accountability and responsibility? Instead they scream "cancel culture is attacking me, safe place please". Edited July 11, 2020 by MatchaLove

They need to take greater responsibility for their own consciousness and perception then they'll find the world around them becomes a much more positive place. The power of social media cannot be underestimated. ALL of the politicians are now deathly afraid of it. They know that the mobocracy, a small vocal group of social media do-gooders, can destroy their career in a day if they try to stand up to them or if they try to go against the prevailing narrative of the day like "Support BLM". It's like all of these people are in on it together, even though the majority of the population does not even follow this crap, the corporations, politicians, the mainstream news media, all the sports and teams, and everything that has a public face is all being driven by social media narratives now. We no longer have any kind of a democracy that's controlled by the opinion of the majority, we have a small-group mobocracy controlling what is now allowed and not allowed. Silicon Valley, the Technocracy, is who owns all of this, and they are completely in bed with the mainstream media now. It's wholesale Marxism on a global scale once again rising up and trying to take control of society. This is the first time in human history that they are actually succeeding. Time will tell if they are eventually successful. It will take the majority finally realizing what is happening and putting a stop to it to defeat them.

Wiley accused of anti-semitism after Twitter rant https://www.nme.com/news/music/wiley-responds-to-antisemitism-accusations-israel-tweets-2714668 Wiley, the Father of Grime is cancelled by Twitter and his management for stating irrefutable facts, which are deemed "antisemitic" tropes. The musician’s manager John Woolf said, "I am a proud Jewish man and I am deeply shocked and saddened by what he has chosen to say." "I am speaking to key figures (The Elders of Zion) in my community in light of today's tweets. This behaviour and hateful speech is not acceptable to me." The Jewish monopoly on the media, music industry, movie business, banking, pharmaceuticals. commerce et al is not acceptable to me, but that's a "conspiracy" right? The man who cried Woolf is going to help re- educate Wiley on this, probably with a visit to Auschwitz and a lecture from a Rabbi, to remind him how "oppressed" Jews are. In a statement issued on Friday, a spokesperson for the Campaign Against Antisemitism said: “Our Crime Unit has reported this matter to the Metropolitan Police Service as we consider that Wiley has committed the offence of incitement to racial hatred, which can carry a substantial prison sentence. “We have additionally asked Twitter and Facebook, which owns Instagram, to close down his accounts which have hundreds of thousands of followers, to prevent further outpouring of anti-Jewish venom.” They added that they would be contacting the Cabinet Office to ask that Wiley’s MBE is revoked. (Tell them to stick it up their Empire Wiley!) The spokesperson said: “Wiley has many hundreds of thousands of followers on social media and we have seen today that many of them truly believe the unhinged hatred that he is spreading. “We are treating this as a very serious matter which must be met with the firmest of responses.” Independent adviser to the government on anti-Semitism, John Mann, said the rapper's tweets “demonstrated precisely why the law needs changing to hold them to reasonable account”. #jewishsupremacy is trending and the "chosen" don't like it! https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/wiley-grime-management-antisemitic-twitter-a4508221.html #freewiley Edited July 25, 2020 by Velma

Fluke
Small fish to fry but theres a fan football (soccer) channel called aftv. Theres a man called Claude who appears on there, in his early 60s. I have met him before in a pub at arsenal a few years ago. They had a live watchalong where they were watching a game live, (why anybody would watch other people watching football is another story of this decadent degenerate culture we are in) for tottenham a player called son was being subbed off. He is asian not chinese. He said and stupidly i might add, "the dvd is coming off". A 'racial' slur made famous by i think fonejacker television show back in the 2000s "wanna buy dvd". Basically poking fun at chinese people flogging dodgy dvds. Was a childish thing to say, and wasn't funny. He has now been 'sacked' by the founder robbie and he has made an announcement and claude has made videos apologising. He seems to be a kind hearted man, football is his life. And he also has mental health issues. I went to the comments and they were all "shocked" and "appalled". People have been making videos and in it saying "if you are easily offended dont watch this". Most people that are saying this are born in the 2000s. I stopped watching garbage aftv along with football this year. Virtue signalling cucks. I only found out and searched it because my brother told me. Again not saying its acceptable, but the culture we are in now is retarded. Anyone would have thought he had raped someone the way people are carrying on. .

People bang on about us millennials (not saying you are) but I'm starting to think it's those born into 2000s that are worse with this kind of stuff. I said exactly the same in a comment "he should not have apologised". But no they are all there with their fake outrage acting like he has molested a child. Makes me sick. Fuck football and fuck all these shitty channels pandering to the mainstream. Totally sold that bloke down the river.
