(Is it any wonder that the Satan character in the movie The Devil's Advocate was made the head of a law firm?) I recall years ago learning from reading a little book titled The Litigation Explosion (Walter Olson, 1991), how the United States has become the most litigious nation in the world, in large part due to the greed and aggression of lawyers/shysters, some of whom will even go out of their way in trying to convince otherwise decent human beings that they ought to sue, as a means of stirring up business for themselves. It was also interesting to learn from reading this book how prior to the highly profitable, money-grubbing litigation industry, it was considered bad taste for someone to instigate a lawsuit, especially over what would appear to the general public to be a trivial matter, in keeping with a high-minded society and, I might add, the magnanimous Christian spirit (1 Corinthians 6: 7). It is with this context in mind that I took to reading Mary Maxwell's prodigious and highly important self-published book, Unreality: Sandy Hook Messes Minds (third edition). In Maxwell we have a baptized, genuine truth-seeker who, interestingly, for almost a decade had believed the official Sandy Hook narrative, up until 2021 when she turned skeptic and who now believes it was a psyop. In the book's opening chapters she tells of how she's witnessed totalitarianism come to Victoria, Australia and how she can see it beginning to develop in the U.S. as well. Not only is Ms. Maxwell a woman of God, with a PhD and a legal background, but she was also a 2022 U.S. House of Representatives candidate. In short, she knows her stuff. In this latest book of hers, she examines the Sandy Hook event and covers, among other things, James Tracy's dismissal; the millions of dollars collected from charities; the various Sandy Hook investigators who have been critical of the official narrative; and, of course, the persecution of Alex Jones, including her own take on him, a theory which some on this forum have entertained themselves. My own feeling is that Alex Jones has been made the victim of a massive smear campaign, and so it is that I wonder: Is not participating in and cheering on such a campaign not a form of engaging and sharing in the bearing of false testimony, or something very close to it? As an aside, ask yourself, which is worse: Calling someone a liar (indirectly, no less) when on a daily if not hourly basis perhaps hundreds upon thousands (if not more) everyday people the world over do this, with their recipients simply shrugging off the matter ('water off a duck's back'), or maliciously suing the namecaller like a pathetic cry-baby for millions of dollars, claiming the word hurt your feelings or somehow 'damaged' your reputation as if some perfectly voracious, non-liar-caller (pseudo)thumb-sucker? Ms. Maxwell also comments on another egregious instance of shameful, unethical behavior. Indeed, in my opinion, what happened in the case of Remington Arms, the gun manufacturer, in 2017, smacks of devilish greed and gun-control advocacy, more than anything else. As if any (supposedly) aggrieved group of plaintiffs, IMO, need even a single dollar to help wipe away their tears, let alone plus-thirty million of them! Dr. Eben Alexander is a neurosurgeon who had a near death experience himself in 2008, and was in a medically induced coma whilst being treated for meningitis. This book describes a variety of details regarding his experiences whilst in a coma, travelling various areas of the Astral realm, including into some of the highest dimensions there are, writing of his experience of what people call 'God'. His stories are also interspersed with stories of readers of his first book who wrote to him with details of their own spiritual experiences. This book is important in the sense that it comes from someone working within the sciences; this is significant in the sense that the vast majority of individuals working in that area tend to be highly skeptical almost by default; Alexander is a rare exception and has of course taken his fair share of criticism because of that. The book is very eloquent, well-written and in places, quite moving. It endeavors to give the readers a glimpse 'beyond the veil' and does so well; the details are fascinating, often beautiful and poignant: "From time to time I have again experienced these wonderful ecstasies, always at completely unexpected times, sometimes whilst washing up and doing daily chores about the house. There is always this same feeling, leaving me weeping with a great joy and deep reverence and worship and love.
