Well I would think history can accommodate this dated reference, as being a mere snip in time... Hopefully then worth me repeating a post of somebody there, as was primarily discussing an apparent successsor TV program of RobinHood which got replaced by Merlin, which was then to be replaced by something else (presumably similar)...

Anyway here is what said poster "Paul Schapman" has to say historically by citing what he knows of history per se mentioning King Arthur (where of any use of course):

Hey, in the next DigitalSpy post down from that on page 1, a person comments they would like to have seen a series produced called "The Loch Ness Chronicles" so whilst some Welshness has crept in, it's good to mix it up, MAYBE-- however separate this Merlin or King Arthur maybe confused I guess with Scotland legends or I don't know....It's all good by talking of UK legends of old, as long as we don't get too confused like I think maybe I am.  anyway I have underlined Merlin Caledonensis as Mac mentioned a Caledon(ian??) Forest right whatever canny or noteworthy about that in its' own rite.

hmm interesting perspective...lets also consider that the celtic world shared the same mythology with the same underlying psychic significance....but that doesn't necessarily preclude your theory which could co-exist with what i'm saying

 

Britain was where people would go from around the celtic world to train as druids. It was the master university. The romans pushed it out of england and wales with a last stand made in anglesey but they didn't manage to take the scottish highlands. Some suggest a continuity extending into the culdees

Scottish people drank 40 per cent more Buckfast and its price fell in the year after Nicola Sturgeon's alcohol minimum pricing was introduced, research has revealed. 

The 15 ABV tonic wine was among the only alcoholic drinks to reduce in price after the base 50p per unit charge was introduced in 2018 under the SNP's minimum unit pricing (MUP) laws. 

The legislation, which was intended to make high-strength drinks less appealing, led to alcohol prices going up faster than those south of the border, with strong ciders and own-brand spirits rising the most.

I'm currently reading book recommended by Dave Chappelle. Its called 'Pimp' - The Story of my Life by Iceberg Slim, a real 1920's Pimp and Hustler. Its a graphic look into the vice of the Pimp game in America's cities. The book contains an index to translate Pimp words.

 

According to his memoir, Pimp, Slim started pimping at 18 and continued until age. The book claims that during his career he had over 400 women, both black and white, working for him. He said he was known for his frosty temperament and for staying calm in emergencies, which, combined with his slim build, earned him the street name Iceberg Slim. When verbal instruction and psychological manipulation failed to keep the women compliant, he beat them with wire hangers; in his autobiography he concedes he was a ruthless, vicious man.

 

Throughout his pimping career, Slim, who was known as Cavanaugh Slim, was noted for being able to effectively conceal his emotions, something he said he learned from Baby Bell: "A pimp has gotta know his whores, but not let them know him; he's gotta be god all the way.

For people who need advice on dying and the death process I've just read :-

 

" with the end in mind" by palliative care doctor Kathryn Mannix.

 

It takes you through real stories gathered over the years and is very strong about not condoning euthanasia. It's helped me as I witnessed a death recently for the first time and the process that the dying go through which follows a very familiar pattern in almost every case and was reassuring and helpful to me to process what I witnessed.

 

Here's an excerpt 

 

'The second part of life is about transcendence to wisdom, and for many people this only develops over a long lifetime. For others, though, there can be an early transition, and this is very often through a personal experience of deep loss and enormous pain – exactly like the experience of knowing they have an incurable illness that our patients encounter; the knowledge that death is approaching, and that it will mean the end of everything they hold familiar and dear. Each of the wisdom traditions describes this transformation process in its own way, yet the key ‘Golden Rule’ of all of them is the development of a sense of compassion for others. The focus moves from ‘me’ to ‘everyone and everything’. This includes a kindness to oneself, and the ability to recognise and forgive one’s own faults in the same loving way that those transformed, second-part-of-life people forgive the faults of others. The stories of the people facing death that I have shared in this book are mainly about people who have reached that new phase in their lives. They have become compassionate and wise, they overlook or even embrace the foibles of others, and they relish their sense of ‘being’ in every moment. This transformation of world view is a spiritual transformation, whether theistic or not. It enables the person to review their life and to recognise and regret any hurt they may have caused other people, and often to desire to make amends. It is this recognition that underlies the first of the recurring last messages of dying people: ‘I am sorry. Please forgive me.’ It also supports their desire to avoid causing any further hurt, and this translates into a deeper patience with others’ shortcomings.'

Self therapy by Jay Earley: A commentary

 

For anyone interested in making the world a better place, (all of you, I hope) shadow work is a must. To date, one of the most effective forms of shadow work I have encountered is Internal Family Systems therapy, otherwise known as parts work.

 

This is the most well-designed and comprehensive form of shadow work I have encountered; being an amalgamation of shadow work, inner child work and disindentification. The premise is simple yet paradigm-shifting; the human ego is not one solid mass, as we had previously been led to believe, but rather, is a composite of parts. 

 

Inititally, in the early stages of the formation of the ego a person's ego-self is intact, but through repeated exposure to trauma, it becomes fragmented, parts of it section off, forming multiple selves or 'parts'. This is where, for many people, this form of inner work requires a leap of faith, since most people's understanding of trauma is fairly rudimentary. There are still a great many people whom believe that trauma encompasses only things like fighting in a war, being in an accident, or rape, and although those things do definitely constitute severe trauma, it is simply the case that trauma exists on a spectrum, and those of us whom are more attuned to certain things, like myself, will pick up on the fact that children are in fact many thousands of times more sensitive than the average adult. In other words, children can be traumatized by things that most adults would not even stop to consider, such as being emotionally neglected or abused, being lost in a public place, losing a friend, experiencing a divorce, moving home, being taken into hospital, losing a pet or loved one, being laughed at or ridiculed, being misunderstood or having chronically unmet needs, to name just a few.

 

Naturally, this leads to a few of us ending up with accumulated trauma, and as a result, various psychological and emotional issues in adulthood, which, if not addressed can manifest as addictions, coping mechanisms and defence mechanisms. 

 

That being said, this book will be useful to literally anyone. It actually forced disidentification from ego through the way the therapy itself is conceptualised: that every thought, perception and feeling you experience can be attributed to a 'part' and your true, authentic, spiritual self is that which observes all of that inner world. The crux of parts work is that a person works with all of these parts compassionately and with love and understanding; in fact the credo of parts work, a term coined by it's creator, Dick Schwartz is "no bad parts". 

 

The system and methodology Schwartz has created, and which is desrcibed here by the author, Jay Earley, is nothing short of genius. To give a very brief and simplified version, your psyche is split into various types of parts, broadly speaking, the two main types of which are 1) "exiles" the suppressed traumas you carry, usually related towards "negative" emotional states and negative core beliefs and 2) "protectors" the parts of you which have been tasked with "protecting" you from having to experience the negative effects of early traumas. These are the parts which contain anger, defence mechanisms and coping mechanisms. During the process, a person undertaking parts work first gets to know the protector aspects of them, who will then, after being worked with, understood, validated and appreciated, grant access to more trauma-based and vulnerable parts, which are often children. 

 

I will give an example: lets say that a person has a Mother who is an alcoholic. This may cause very extreme trauma within that person during their childhood and cause longstanding grief for the childhood they never had, guilt because they blame themselves, shame because their Mother verbally abused them and powerlessness because they felt they could not escape. However, people cannot deal with these kinds of emotions as a small child so a part of their self fragments off, creating both exiled parts corresponding to the emotions above, and a protector part which may become very tough, angry or aggressive to keep the trauma related feelings under control. This is a brief and rather oversimplified overview but will give you some idea of what I am talking about.

 

The takeaway from this review, and the overall point that I would like all of you to get is that based on the efficacy of this modality in my own experience, there is literally nobody this form of therapy will not benefit.

 

The creator has even had great success in helping many criminals reform and work through issues which created their criminality in the first place, i.e. neglect, abuse etc, but you don't have to have that kind of background in order to benefit from it. In my own personal experience it has, in many respects, given me a new lease of life and has deepened my capacity for disidentification, even when dealing with overwhelming despair. This is key to the whole practice; parts work (internal family systems) literally forces disidentification because it is built into the design of it that you see all of these aspects of you as separate 'selves' with their own set of wants, needs, likes, dislikes. I would posit that everyone will experience the process differently, and in my own case I do the process slightly differently from instructed. The instruction is to dialogue with these parts without allowing them to overwhelm you (a process called 'blending'), but in my case I allow the parts to blend with me just enough that I get a direct insight into the beliefs, perceptions and feelings of that part but with enough of my authentic self to be fully present with the feelings of the part.

 

The book is incredibly simply written and in fact, that is the key to it's success. It can be utilized by anyone, appreciated by anyone and can, I believe, work wonders in anyone's life. The author has set out a highly detailed set of processes and insights, plus there are also illustrations which can often be highly amusing. 

 

I will reiterate again; if you are interested in making the world a better place, everything starts on the inside. Buy this book, do your shadow work, heal, learn about yourself and help deepen your self understanding. This book will be absolutely life-transforming if you allow it to be.

Hi, while I'm considered a newbie, I have always had doubts about the validity of these so-called Leaders of the free world Politicians and the those self-imposed individuals at the WEF, Gates and the like who are being allowed to influence and control Governments to do their bidding at the risk to life and liberty of us all....and yet, the general consensus of the public is apathy and to "lay back and think of England", while the world around us is being shaped to make us a cashless society to force us to accept a Chinese version of Social Credit. In short, they will have TOTAL control over our lives, knowing where we are and what we're doing and with whom. What we spend. How we spend. If any of us was to speak out...our Credit will be blocked.

Dr. Leonard Horowitz - Emerging Viruses AIDS & Ebola - Nature, Accident or Intentional?

I read this book in 2010 and was a major factor that gave me a "heads-up" when today's covid coup ensued in 2020. The author produces research abstracts, defense industry contracts, and parts of the Congressional record, all of which prove that parts of the government (in concert with industry) was doing extremely risky (at best) or downright evil (at worst) research. When you read this book, you can even remove all Horowitz's implications that it was all intentional, and that parts of our government and industry are basically making money off of purposely spreading disease; and when you do omit this, you still must come to the conclusion that parts of our government, in concert with industry, have been developing biological weapons, including isolating and strengthening herpes viruses, cancer causing viruses and others, and mixing matching trying to find viruses that would be refractory to normal immune system functioning. All of this research was followed by an explosion of auto-immune illnesses that appear to be refractory to normal immune system functioning. These include AIDS, chronic fatigue syndrome, Lyme's disease, Gulf War Syndrome, and a variety of other situations where people just can't seem to get better.

This "gain of function" research and testing was paid for thru tax money and we are the test subjects .......... the guinea pigs ..... a pretty slick trick, to get the test subjects to finance their own poisoning, eh?

In Gods Of The New Age, Ms. Matrisciana tells of her growing up in India and, as a child born and raised into a British household, being horrified by some of the traditions and practices of Hinduism, of witnessing 'untouchables' in the streets and other negative social effects as the result of a religion steeped in karmic superstition.

 

Years later, as an adult living in the U.S., Caryl would find herself reflecting back on her childhood, upon getting involved in New Age mysticism and noting many similarities between it and the exotic religion that both fascinated and disgusted her as a young girl.

 

The forepart of the book also details the hedonistic years Matrisciana experienced in-between these two periods; namely, her time spent as a professionally successful single woman living the high-life in London, England, employed with the BBC as an artist, surrounded by elitist bohemians, soulless socialites, pitiful glitterati and soporific jet-setters. Yet, despite all the travels to Europe and the late-night parties, the fun and laughter, Caryl felt something missing from her life, an inner void which first saw to her experimenting with sex and drugs in the hope that these would fill the vacuum, only to turn to escapism of the spirit when the pleasures of the flesh failed in providing any lasting fulfillment.

Did not the gurus of her youth also teach 'maya'? Hmm.

 

Gods Of The New Age was first published in 1985, only two years after Constance Cumbey's The Hidden Dangers Of The Rainbow, and makes for an excellent companion to the latter title. Although Gods is not an impersonal examination of its subject in the way the slightly scholarly Hidden Dangers is, it is an equally important read nevertheless and a winner in its own right, with its more intimate tone and semi-biographical style likely to appeal to an entirely different readership than Cumbey's, yet a book no less essential a read.

At the moment I am reading 'Beyond the poles' by Giannini, F. Amadeo.

It's about the extension of earth and beyond.

I find it a good read & hard to put down.

Is Western society going to pot? Author Ben Cort makes a strong case that it is, and quite literally speaking.

 

If you've ever questioned, as I have, why governments in North America would want to legalize the use of marijuana/cannabis, this book is for you. (Psst: It's not about emptying the prisons of petty criminals or eliminating the black market.)

 

Weed, Inc. is not really a conspiracy book, however, and, as such, fails in tracing the drug trade back to the ruling elites who ultimately control it. Which is to say, you won't find any mention of the British East India Company and opium trafficking of the 1800s, for example. Still, it's of tremendous value to anyone interested in learning more about how drugs continue to be used as a means of altering the minds of the governed and to dumb down the populace.

 

Specifically, the book concerns itself with the chemical tetrahydrocannabinal, a known psychedelic and psychosis-inducer, and how in the past few decades THC levels in marijuana have skyrocketed, all the while as the pot lobby promotes and glamorizes it, marijuana dispensaries dramatically increase nationwide, and the weed industry is basically left to do its thing, largely unregulated.

 

All this gives a whole new meaning to 'going green,' with much of this having to do with the government wanting in on this cash crop, despite marijuana farming operations, both indoor and outdoor, being gross polluters and large producers of greenhouse gas emissions. (Yet more hypocrisy from the virtue-signaling, policy-making 'climate changers'.)

 

Weed, Inc is a book that will no doubt get under the skin of the pro-legalization camp and one sure to be ignored by one or two alt-media podcast hosts, those into 'smokin' a little grass' and otherwise into shining a light on conspiracy 'theories.'

 

To be noted, the book -- despite what any buttheads out there attempting to read this review might be nominally thinking -- isn't penned by a religious prude, as a few liberal-leaning comments expressed within its pages make abundantly clear to the sober-minded. In fact, it's not even against hemp per se, but rather THC, specifically; a book authored by an outdoorsy fellow into hiking, biking, camping, and a self-described former substance abuser turned drug-prevention advocate.

 

Worth noting here, though unmentioned in the book, is that cannabis was studied as part of the MK-ULTRA program. (Enough said.)
