Tech to talk to the "dead."

Has anyone else here heard of "Soul Phone"? I really don't know what to make of it! This guy thinks he can prove with science and tech that we can talk to "the dead"! 

 

The SoulPhone includes four major categories of technologies and devices:

SoulSwitchis a binary switch designed to allow ‘a spirit’ to communicate with humans by signaling Yes – No answers.

SoulKeyboard uses a combination of SoulSwitches arranged in the format of a keyboard.  Just as with a standard keyboard, each key represents a letter, number or special character and has a corresponding binary switch.  When a switch is activated by a non-earthly being, it is equivalent to a key being pressed by a human operator.  Results of the key activation are displayed on a screen.

SoulVoice is envisioned to allow humans to hear those who have transitioned from earth.

SoulVideo will hopefully enable humans to see visual images of those who have crossed over.

These devices are in various stages of research and development (R & D) with the ultimate goal of implementing the SoulPhone working prototypes. 

 

 

Is it a con? A hoax?

 

I doubt very much that this is possible, although it'd be interesting if it were true.

 

I'm not even convinced that there's an "afterlife" although I think there might be. The Hadron Collider shows that there is no life after death ( evidence for spirits).

 

I'll be watching this to see what happens with it.

Well ... the thing works based on special "frequencies" that are good.

Say 932hz.

But how will you use that ?  Because as you speak your voice is using many frequencies.  I suppose you can recode your voice so that it is averaged at 932 hz, so that your voice maybe goes from 932hz plus minus 200hz.

But so what ?  It's not 932hz anymore.

Stupid thing.

But due to the severe decline in intelligence of people they will buy used dog shit as a means to fly to the moon and like it.

I've read that too. Now funnily enough when us in the 21st century listen to wax cylinder recordings on those antique phonographs they sound like ghosts. I find them fascinating and affecting.

It seems snake oil to me too, but if you have not seen it, I would advise everyone to watch the two seasons of the documentary "Hellier".  Besides being mysterious, it is very well produced, one of the best I have seen, and I believe the people involved are very genuine.   It will show you that there indeed are very strange things going on right in front of us that we're programmed to filter out and not see - things involving the "other side", the military, and possibly beings living underground all over the planet that a lot of myths and legends are based on.

I envy you! I'd love a phonograph and some wax cylinders.

 

I don't find them comical at all. I find them haunting and poignant to listen to. It was a breakthrough at the time to be able to record voices, and so historically fascinating!

 

I never found mobile phones fascinating when they came out, despite them being  a breakthrough,  although I liked my Motorola as there was no landline telephone in the shared house I lived in so it was nice not to have to go out to a phone box to make a phone call.

I get where you are coming from motleyhoo. If we think of what people were thinking about new technologies in the late 1800s and early 1900s they were sceptical also. Imagine going back to say, 1932 and telling people in the local pub that you believed that in the future we'd have laptops and  mobile phones, and that you could play music on them and take colour photos without using film! They'd have laughed and called you nuts. 

 

How will they be able to prove that the dead are talking through their device? I'm not sure even what this device is. Is the first one going to be a smart phone?

 

The last stage they mention is using some sort of computer programme for one's computer so a dead person can actually be seen on video.

 

This is mind boggling, on two levels:

 

1. If the programme can actually do this;  well as they say this will change a lot of things. It will indeed be  a breakthrough. To be able to really talk to the dead would be mind boggling and also thrilling.

 

2. If it's an elaborate hoax, then the mind boggles at their audacity and also their stupidity as they would surely get found out by computer geeks/IT/science people and be hit with lawsuits by upset people who they conned.

Ok, so...I'm not actually trying to sell Hellier...but I'm watching Season 1 again from the beginning. It has to be one of the best produced and edited doc series I have ever watched.  Better than the Discovery and History channel stuff.  I watched it before on my tablet, while laying in bed, but now that I have cut cable, I'm watching it this time on the big TV.

First of all, my own personal beliefs tell me that once you cross over, there's no coming back. No real way of communicating at all. I do believe that every once in a while, a miracle can occur, and contact can be made (usually to save someone's life, etc), but for the most part, I don't believe contact would be allowed by the Highest Authority. If such a device could work, it probably would end up invoking those spirits that are neither here nor there, and could see demons being contacted, etc.

 

I don't know. Whole thing sounds wrong. I don't know if anyone here has seen the movie White Noise with Michael Keaton, but that film is about a man trying to contact his dead wife with similar means and it ends badly for him. Lol. I know it's just a movie, but that's honestly how I believe things could play out if you start messing with things like that.

I'm inclined to think it's either a hoax or wishful thinking on their part from a logical/scientific viewpoint, but I will be keeping an eye on how this plays out. It's intriguing.

 

Many people claim they have experienced contact with "the dead" in various ways/methods.

 

I've had experiences myself over the years, but I still keep the scepticism as I like things to be verified by science.

 

I don't believe in demons really, not in the religious sense, but if there are non corporeal beings who were once human that are "bad"  that might explain some scary experiences people claim to have. Most of the time I suspect they are due to hallucinations, drug taking and mental health issues.

 

I'm an atheist so I don't come from  a religious viewpoint but an investigative one.

This is a black mirror episode, I can’t remember much but I think it was one sort of AI pretending to be this woman’s passed away husband. Some stories made out of it but the predictive programming was nice, like the other episodes

I don't remember that one. I've just looked through the episodes on wiki and not seen it amongst them- are you sure it was Black Mirror?

True, but that's up to debate as to if that's actually happening or if it's just the human mind at work. You see, if we suppose that people can communicate with loved ones at will (via dreams), questions would then be asked as to why some people don't have those experiences. Why not? I have destroyed the ghost box but now I do not need one they talk to me all the time without it.

I can hear and talk with them when I chose to do so, most of the time I do my best to ignore them but at night is when they get the best of me. They use any kind of fan noise or anything with a sound to form there words. I'm lucky if I get to sleep because of them talking and telling me how I'm going to die or what they are going to do to me in hell.

They kept me up for 3 days one time and that was real bad. They told me I was a true Devil and that the Angels can move forward in time or back in time and that time has no meaning to them. They almost killed me because of my heart problems.

My wife did not believe me until they asked me to touch her they had something to tell her before they killed me so I did I touch her on the arm and then I told her to listen up... When she did she began talking with him. It was Satan himself and I could hear him talking with her he possessed her that day and I went to the doctor that day. They messed with her so bad that when we got out of the elevator she was talking into the ticket that get you out the parking lot like it was a cell phone.

I beg them to leave her alone because her mind could not deal with them like I could. They did leave her the next day because they had better fish to fry like me because that same day I went to the hospital because I was half dead from no sleep. They did their best to try and get her to slap me. I could hear them telling her to do it. I would see her shake her head no.

This is Satan himself doing this to me. I know when he enters me because there is a perfume smell with him and it is a loud smell. He does not control me all the time he has others that do it most of the time.

It is very hard for me now to be around my family because of all the negative thoughts. It is like something is doing its best to control my mind and I fight it tooth and nail. I do know it is a matter of time before they kill me I just don't know when it will be.

I always wanted to know for sure if there was a ghost I found more than what I was looking for SATAN.

The story I am telling you is the truth and is no lie you can go to Ufogeek.com too see what I did but I tell you now don't play with it or your life will be in a living hell like mine. It will be your worst nightmare come true.

I can tell you for sure there is a Hell and there is a Heaven.

Well that's the point.... according to him, and several accounts on the internet, it started when he started messing about with spirit boxes.

It's psychological- these boxes act a catalyst for individuals with pre disposition to mental health issues and are suggestible to things. They hallucinated and misheard voices coming out of the boxes.

I think this is your interpretation. 

 

However it seems to me, more likely that by using a 'spirit box' you are allowing demons or aliens or whatever to access you.

 

I fail to see any distinction between talking to ghosts/aliens and the definition for insanity.

 

However I do not believe insanity is what we are told it is. Insanity is basically a loss of personal etheric protection from the malevolent discarnate dark forces of the universe.

 

By wishing to talk to ghosts or demons or whatever you are willfully deactivating your own shield.

If you understand science that hasn't been revealed, may be all these things aren't paranormal at all.

Just like they used to call herbal doctors a witch and it was all magical. But now that we understand molecular structures etc...it is science and not witchcraft.

 

The contactee I've been studying says that so called ghosts/dead people are people from the past. They live in that time line. Aliens are people from the future.

So if our descendant (aliens) can visit us in the form of time travel, reverse is possible that we can have access to so called 'dead'. It's just a different point of timelines.

If we consider that at some level we are energy - our thoughts are electrical impulses in our brains, well according to physics, energy can't be created or destroyed only transformed. Hence its logical to assume when we die our energy is not destroyed but continues to exist. (Just in a different realm/medium)

 

That would make these spirit boxes a possibility since if ghosts are some sort of electric field they would have electric and/or magnetic qualities which could be detected by electrically or magnetically sensitive equipment.

 

It is intriguing, watching some of those ghost documentaries on TV, they do get startling results from their 'spirit boxes'

 

Also I know spirits can influence sounds that are present like humming sounds to modulate or intetfere with so we can hear them so again it adds credence to an electronic device emitting white noise that the spirits can influence.

 

I find it intriguing from an engineering perspective.
