The West is now in an AI arms race with China. This is why they keep talking about replacing "legacy systems" with new tech. In 1997, I got my first job out of engineering school, where I was just in the right place at the right time, as a Software Engineer in a very small company quietly developing bleeding edge data mining and AI software. Even back that long ago, before the mainstream was even talking about anything called AI, our software could predict a person's behaviour at over 90% accuracy. It did not take long for me to understand the power of AI and what was going to happen with it wrt human nature. What scares me the most is when they begin to introduce AI particularly human looking AI into our daily lives as a safe medium between us and COVID. I heard an interesting talk regarding this from someone who has lived in China. I believe this was someone calling into a radio program I often listen, can't recall. he said that the people in China have been living under a Marxist system for so long and for so many generations that it is ingrained within them now. There might be things they do not like about it, but it is so normal a part of life for them that they do not think of over-turning it like we in the West would expect from them. It's like they are now programmed to just go along, and since everyone is disarmed, they're all powerless to do anything anyway. Yeah, they outnumber the establishment 1 million to 1 and could easily overpower them, but no one wants to be in the first group to stick their neck out because those people are going to die. The people wanting to do the same thing to us are absolutely looking at the China model of how to suppress and oppress a population. I believe China is now the "proving ground" for all the techniques and technologies they intend on using on us. and just like the Chinese, we're not going to do anything about it because no one wants to stick their neck out. They would put each other in holds and flip each other up and slam the other one onto the floor and then start karate chopping each other in the face with their back paws. It was hilarious.
