After he vehemently and indignantly denied it, we showed him the screenshot proving categorically that he'd done it (we being me & the mod who was tech savvy enough to know what he was looking at and take the shot). It caused much havoc. I didn't mention that here because it was such a long time ago, and that little wretch is no longer here. Water under the bridge. If I'm not mistaken, he did a runner with funds robbed from TPV (allegedly). Maybe to spend on his flashy honeymoon, after appearing briefly on the telly, because his was (I think) the very 1st gay wedding right after it was legalised in this country. To stop the PM scandal going public, an administrator blocked the accounts of me & several other disgruntled mods, but left our account statuses showing as live so other members thought we'd all just stopped posting without telling them why. After quite a lot of people expressed upset at our sudden inactivity, I logged in on my then husband's barely used account, and posted what had happened on every thread, warning people that Sean (webmaster) was not to be trusted. But there were some members who made me out to be the villain due to my husband being a Freemason at the time. Therefore he, and by association, I, must be evil incarnate. I'd never made a secret of it, because I knew he & the old fogeys in his lodge were completely ignorant and disbelieving of the things we are aware of re the high ranking Masons. But you only need to see the consequent attacks of one idiot here now (who I've put on ignore so that I'm not complicit in derailing threads by responding to his nonsense) to know that some people will disregard the fact that my posts are not 'pushing the Masons' agenda', as claimed, so that they can continue with their groundless beliefs. 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Some people, like Novum (Ownoize) were around here and a lot just got banned for no good reason, or because they voiced disapproval of what went on. It'd be a very boring life someone would have to have to do such a thing :-) I can only assume it's coincidence or I messed up somehow. It doesn't matter, it messed with my head a little at the time. I also gave too much credit to entelechy following the hack I thought it was far more sinister than the mean troll it actually was. I suppose because I was already a little off kilter feeling some third party had taken my personal info. And I'll be the 1st to say that it can be a gruelling and thankless task, moderating, so much respect and gratitude to yourself and SE. And Muir, though I only joined not long before his or her departure. You can pull your tripes out trying to suit everyone, and still be subjected to abuse. I am not happy posting here (and Gareth knows this) currently but I wish to be 'open' .... so yes I still have moderator permissions. But I do not use them. Yes I removed a 'name' posted by a member (and removed it from a quoted post) but this was to protect the forum from the 2018 Data Protection Act and any use of said act against the forum. I do not moderate. Currently .... the 'permissions' cannot be removed from my account. But I can't just watch as Rome burns! So I did edit 2 posts.
