When I was with my ex-husband, we had a direct debit set up from our joint bank account into a charity fund. That was as well as taking part in regular fund raising activities. Every single penny went to local charities of the Lodge's choosing, so (even though he would think I was a conspiracy loon if I tried to tell him about how charity funds often get channeled to very nasty people for very nasty deeds) none of that money was diverted. Hence, yes, Labrats is quite right regarding the charitable work. It is you who is quite wrong in 'loling' at it.
