Folks, why would they have to continue to fake the 24 hour sun if it existed?

Think!

I think that perhaps it is not being faked, because there are so many videos that show this. The sun doesn't fully set during the height of summer in Antarctica for exactly the same reason it doesn't during the height of summer in the Arctic Circle. Don't forget equally there are some three months of darkness, I suppose this is somehow faked too.

I had a friend who worked there for a few months doing some installation on contract. I have some beautiful pictures of the amazing colours in the ice caves....but still wonder what is really going on there.

It is difficult to get to...my friend went to South America and then boarded the Shackleton I think it was called.

Thanks for the confirmation that Antarctica exists, unless you or your friend are lying of course. 😁

I've always had a bit of a fascination with Antarctica since I was young. One of the first books I downloaded and read when I first got my Kindle a few years ago now was "South" by Ernest Shackleton, describing his ill-fated attempt to cross the continent.

And that's why you don't get many 'tourists' just rocking up for a 'holiday'.

I think it is indeed possible that Antarctica was very different thousands of years ago, the poles have shifted before in the past, so Antarctica would have been on the equator. When the poles do shift, the ice caps would melt, which will be the cause of these 'Biblical floods' as the oceans rise, then new ice caps form at the 'new' poles, potentially quite rapidly too.

Who really knows what is buried under the ice and snow of Antarctica, us 'ordinary folk' will probably never know, perhaps the remnants of some ancient civilisation.

Very vibrant colours as you can see. I was very impressed with the colours. I have a few more pics...excuse the face blotted out but its not my face and not given permission to show it.

I was told the sun created the colours... maybe someone has a clue how it happens... but deep inside the ice the colours are intense.

Australian adventurer, Peter Treseder has walked unsupported to the South Pole,

look this fellow up, him and three others were the first to walk unsupported to the south pole ,in Antarctica, you know the place that doesn't exist apparently , I went through hi-school with him ,he was in my class ,there is also a fellow who lives in our street that works in the antarctic for six months every year in  summer ,he has been doing this for the last 15 or so years . So if the antarctic doesn't exist like some believe ,god knows where he fucks off to then

Antarctica is a continent, it is land ... underneath the ice is land.   So there is a kind of goldrush going on with many countries trying to lay claim to the land there.  It is big, this is a rare opportunity so all sorts of shenanigans are going on ... which are designed to lay claim to various chunks of it.  There could be many natural resources in Antarctica, minerals, oil, gold, who knows.  As the ice sheets retrreat and technology improves there is more possibility to extract it all.

The Arctic by contrast is not land, the ice just floats on the ocean so there are not minerals there.

Why do people have incredible fantasies about Antarctica?

The fantasies and dreams just go on to ridiculous levels don't they.

imo the biggest conspiracy is not having "God" in your life ... "God" simply means that your mind sees clearly, objectively, at a high level of Consciousness ... then you see straight.  If "God" is hidden or removed from you then your mind is like mush and you destroy yourself with fantasies.

Is the notion of God not an equally fantastic phantasy as any other  that lacks solid evidence?

And then you could ask.. which God are you referring too?

Humans havwe written many books about many gods,

its all a bit linear isn't it...

Yes it is, and if you follow this kind of logic you will go far.

One thing you can be certain of is one day you will be short of breath and bleeding and you will die.

Does it makes sense not to try seriously to change this equation, to sit and wait for your end?

The reputed orthodox traditions all work, but you have to stop talking and actually go and do them.

Each one requires dedicate diligent practice ... have opinions matters little in the end, only real knowledge from the front line counts.

If not you live as an animal and die as an animal, and once you are finished nothing remains.

There are plenty of serious, intelligent, powerful and brave men and women who have entered the spiritual traditions.

But I don't know who is reading this text that I write.

If a monkey reads it what can he understand.

Nature is vast it does not care if you die, there are so many, only you can care, if you can understand.

I disagree rideforever, the Arctic is the dead center of earth with four lush Islands that surround this North Tower of magnetic energy.

Many sailors have rounded Cape Horn which is the southern tip of South America which is very close to Antarctica, and they have seen Antarctica many times ... so I think your ideas are very unlikely to be correct.

it exists as a wall to hold our ocean water

people can go there and no one has claimed otherwise

you are being destroyed by memes

I don't have any handlers, if I did they would be long haired hippies with no hair loss. Your memes are piffling shite and you are evading every single difficult rebuttal to your repetitive nonsense. You really should change key - maybe go from "b flat" to "a minor" 🌎

Of course they don't.

Would you be happy to get on a flight from Australia to South America, knowing if it was forced to make an 'emergency landing' on Antarctica, that there would be little to no chance of a successful rescue, due to the inhospitable climate and environment?

That's the main reason why flights don't go directly over the south pole, and this has been covered already in the existing Flat Earth topic.

and an emergency landing in the ocean makes sense? that was an original thought that you were insulting flat earthers about?

i read the whole thread and saw no logical reason at all except for the fact that there is no underside of a ball to fly over

and it looks like the thread is locked

They do have emergency life buoyancy aids etc. Also many are required to carry life rafts.  Ok not perfect seas pretty cold I know but I’d rather take chances in a life raft. Antarctica however you believe it is, is still one harsh environment. Life raft info is basic search showing FAA policy.
