Good luck and hope you have a good holiday.

I decided not to bother in the end. Airports are paranoid cattle markets at the best of times, I could easily lose it & end up nutting someone.

Plus the place I ended up wanting to really go, you need to be tested twice..as well as wearing a mask.
Rather enjoy what little freedoms I have left at home for Xmas.

Good shout mate. It's a shame but you are right.

Think your reasons are spot on. Shame though as I can imagine how much you would have been looking forward to it. Plus the hard work and sacrifice to make a holiday happen.

I covered my mouth as a bus went past to taunt the branch covidions earlier when walking my dog. Childish but i couldn't help myself. Probably thpught i was the local nutter. Thinking about it the lady on the bus looking at me probably thought it was a bit rapey.

This is the most depressing year.

My mask story -

The local council said that when picking up your kids from school make sure you wear a mask even though it's outdoors.

When picking up my child on 2 different occasions the teacher nearly gave me someone else's child.

This is horrendous I think, whether you are for or against masks, if a teacher can't see a parents face it is unnecessarily putting children in danger because they can't recognise the person.

I've resisted so far apart from work when I wear a bandana only when necessary just to keep my job! Getting annoying now seemingly being the only person continually without one when shopping - a few stares, a few snide comments and a couple of challenges from store staff but getting ridiculous seeing how many people just comply. Seeing old people gasping for air and young children wearing them as fashion items surely is enough for people to at least question this nonsense!!

Trying to support local coffee shops is also difficult when they don't let you enter without wearing a mask whilst walking to your table! Crazy! Went home for a hot chocolate instead!! Doing themselves out of business by complying to laws that are designed to ruin them!

I'm trying to find out if this is the same across the country? ie are people everywhere just complying when out shopping or are some people not wearing them?

Would love to find out - Please don't let it just be me!!!!!!!!!!!

So this is going to be a bit of a rant so I apologise in advance. I have been very glad and encouraged to see more people waking up and protesting for their God given freedom. Honestly Saturday’s have become the highlights of my week because this forced lockdowns is really horrible for our mental health, I have been struggling even more with depression and anxiety but when I am around like minded people who can see through all the lies, coming together to fight for our freedoms it just gives me strength to go on no matter how dark and heavy I am feeling in my soul. That all being said I am also a bit disappointed and wondering where all the people I spend Saturday’s marching with are on normal week days, its like they’ve disappeared. I am the only person on the bus or in shops without a mask...okay I do come across a very few people with no masks in shops and when I do I feel this very strong feeling of comradery even though they are practically strangers (crazy how we are looked at as the weird ones, the world has turned upside down in just a few months) anyway with how many peI would expect to see more people on public transport and shops without a mask but I am not really seeing it and it really makes me wonder where the resistance is during the week. I am I the only one wondering this?

Pretty much the same where I am in Cornwall. Daughter went to Truro last weekend. She wore mask in shops and in street. I told her not to wear in streets and preferably not in shops. She’s only young though so was probably scared of being stopped in shop. What was worrying is that she told me she quite liked wearing it.

I know I can’t legally beat her into understanding and that my discussions have obviously gone on deaf ears. Was wondering if I can give hear electric shock therapy😁

This insanity has been deeply programmed in our society for a long time ago (atleast decade or two, maybe more)  and now someone just hit the "return" button and people gone mad.  It seems common sense is forgotten. The more i see and hear, the more i despair our current situation. How can people be so unbeliavable naive and stupid? How this is even possible?

It's because they are no different from drug addicts when it comes to television news.

They are hooked on it and have been for decades.

They HAVE to watch the news every day as often as they can.

They have no idea they are being brainwashed with subliminal messages and would laugh at you if you told them it was all scripted and 99.99% lies.

They are all rushing towards the edge of the cliff like lemmings and sadly for us individuals that are awake to what's happening, we will be swept up by them and carried over the edge of the precipice by their fucking insanity and sheer numbers.

I loathe the thick bastards as much as I loathe those inflicting all this on us.

Ok, enough is enough......Wife called me to the window and said check this out........there was a braindead bastard coming out of the convenience store we live opposite wearing, wait for it.........a mask edged with tiny flashing Xmas lights.

Took all my will power not to go out and  pull it off his face then punch his own lights out.

Success!! Went into a mobility shop this afternoon to buy something for my mother - obviously not wearing my mask and wasn't challenged about it. Said to the very helpful person who could see I didn't have a clue what I was looking for that he needn't wear a mask for my benefit (me and my wife were the only ones in the shop) - his response "Thank Christ for that - it does my head in having to wear this every time someone comes in!"

Another poor bugger forced to wear one to keep they're job!

Got to cling onto the little things............

Cheers Bombadili - I'm between Cardiff and Bridgend in South Wales. Crazy here and another full look down to look forward to after Christmas!

Bloody awful how young children are being coerced through schools, peer pressure etc to accept masks as fashion items and being scared into thinking it's for they're own safety (myself and wife both in education and it's bonkers - people's fear spreading 'like a virus' !!). So sad seeing a bus full of school kids sitting down obediently wearing masks - what happened to the days of climbing over seats, being a pain in the arse and ................being kids!

Yep same where I am. Went to Sainsbury’s the other day. Told guy at the door I was exempt. In fairness he told me absolutely no problem, go on in. But then told me if police challenge me I have to show my exemption. Explained patiently and politely that no such proof exists. He couldn’t believe that. Also explained that if the police could punish me for having no proof etc that Sainsbury’s would be complicit by giving me conflicting advice which could later cause me problems with the “authorities.”
