Well it was thought that the comments on a report were sent to the member who made the report. But this wasn't correct. The comments made by staff are only seen by staff.

There is no way to inform the reporting member that it is being investigated.

When I was a mod .... I got sent an email whenever a report was made. The same as you get a notification when you have a pm .... mods get the same when a report is made.

Then you read the report and decide if it requires the input from other staff .... if just spam then you deal with it .... if something between members then you chat with other staff and come to a decision.

The report is then marked as complete.

So. For example. Member entelechy still shows as a member. I've no idea whether I was right to be concerned or whether I need to grow a pair- if that makes sense? I trust my intuition more and more. But the banned members don't sort of appear anywhere. But they go quiet. So I 'assume'

No they don't.

A thread was made to inform regarding banned members .... but that is currently gone.

The member you are on about is banned.

Perhaps just a flag on a banned profile would do. No need to shout it from rooftops or even personally reply.

It is always possible .... currently we await the new forum structure and move forward from there :)

I haven't been able to post any document or photo even before the hack on this forum from my computer, only from social media or other websites. I would love that to be improved so that I can in the future if I want to!

Thank you very much!

Doesnt the " click to choose files " option appear below the text box ?

Try and reply and look for the paperclip icon and " click to choose files "

You should be able to access your pics from there

You should have been able to do that .... you add it as an attachment but there is a file size limit, thus most pictures would require reducing in size before the forum software would allow it!

Lot of work for mods. Don't think it is necessary. Just a marker to know we were right. Or no marker so we learn to toughen up and distinguish

Yes, I always get that far, but when it's supposed to upload, then it just stands there and does nothing with those from my computer.

As far as I could tell, my photos were far smaller than what was allowed. About half or less.

I usually use Firefox. I don't know why it doesn't work here, because it always works for Facebook or my email account.

Firefox is hit and miss for me. l use it for some pages but not the forum.
l use the 'dreaded' chrome and it works well.

Thing is that 'mods' get many reports and if members from 'different' 'sides' are engaging then you may get reports from both considerations about the same interaction!

And mods need to try and be impartial.

.... then the mod team would look at the entire thread to find who started any shit and why?

It helps to do that as then you can see who is trying to create arguments .... which makes moderation 'fairer'.

But everyone is never going to be 'happy'.

No that's what I mean. Just a complete blanking of response would indicate you need to check own behaviour.  I'd be massively disappointed if my behaviour in that last interaction wasn't flagged.  It was almost the point of the behaviour.  I don't mind that - don't need to know and don't care. But if - after all things have been considered a member is banned. That part I think is important for feedback. Generally. That the behaviour was, indeed, crossing the line. Very few members have their banning publically announced (truewank) but many have caused absolute shit storms. And until you told me entelechy was banned no one knew and could look at my last interaction with it in, unflattering ways. Again. Personally I'm not massively bothered what others think. But do want to know if I'm on or off the mark

BANNED across their profile picture would be good then.
