GarethIcke Posted June 1, 2020 Share Posted June 1, 2020 The new forum is very nearly complete. The new davidicke.com will go live today and so all focus then moves to getting the new forum live. New webmaster has asked me if there are any functions that are important to you guys. If you have anything you really want the new forum to be able to do, drop it in here and I'll pass it on. As a bonus, it would also be super if your dad could join in discussions here too Functionality-wise, I don't really have any suggestions to offer, but being able to embed Bitchute videos would be good. Someone could cleverly change the whole context of a thread if they were so inclined, with unlimited time and fallouts, personal hacks etc.. An hour or two is fine by me. Could there be an appropriately named forum right at the bottom of a long list of forums where FE topics/posts can be hygenically disposed of placed using admin tongs tools. I suppose we're to assume that's what people would do, like you assume. I haven't seen it happen, and all 3 venues we can also delete posts any time we wish (I have seen people delete posts and have deleted my own time to time). It all comes down to what you think of people I guess, and if that's the low opinion you have of them, then yes, treat them like children and imbeciles. I know a couple pictures I had hosted in my Hopi thread became unhosted when the image host died or went out of business and I would have loved to edit that post and put them up again. Sometimes my brain isn't quite processing when I make a post then I'll think of a better way I might have put something and want to modify it so it is easier to comprehend. Actually, there is a 4th venue, a Chinese gadget forum, where people argue incessantly and I've seen people accuse other people of changing their posts. But that is there and they have problems all the time because all they do is argue, argue, and argue. Anyhow, it is my request and if the past is any indicator I'm sure editing will be limited/restricted and you won't have to worry yourself. I would have liked for all newly registered accounts to NOT be able to post until they have answered three questions. That the account is NOT active to post until allowed, either by admin or a mod. The concept of this is simply to stop any 'spam' in it's tracks .... stop any 'bots' .... stop any 'shills' .... and to consider the 'want' or 'reason' for someone making an account? It also means that the email address MUST be a real account and not just a 'throwaway'! It must be real and the newly joining member must also be real .... to answer the emailed questions. It can be simple questions .... Do you consider that 911 was accomplished as is told by your government? Is there more to 'you' than just the 'body' or is that it and you die?
