Footage from the scene shows a large crowd of anti-racism protesters cheering as the statue is knocked off its plinth in College Green and thrown into the water in Bristol’s harbor. Colston, who was born in Bristol in 1636, rose to become one of Britain’s most successful business executives of the era and later emerged as a politician and philanthropist. But his legacy has been reappraised in recent decades because of his leadership roles in the Royal African Co., a London-based trading company that transported hundreds of thousands of slaves across the Atlantic, many of whom died along the way, in the late 17th and early 18th century. Between 1672 and 1689, during which Colston was an official with the company, ships from the company are thought to have transported 84,000 enslaved people from Africa to the Americas. Bristol itself became a hub for British involvement in the slave trade, with the city amassing considerable wealth because of the trade. He was generous to Bristol, but it was off the back of slavery, and it’s absolutely despicable,” McAllister continued. The statue was erected in 1895 to commemorate Colston’s contributions to the city. But his involvement in the slave trade has made him a divisive figure. When we were all locked up and our means to provide for ourselves were taken away, the BLM and the people now protesting were quiet. When small businesses and our freedoms were being stolen, there was not a peep from Tommy except to focus on muslims leaving a mosque during lockdown. Both sides are controlled and both sides only pretend to address the symptoms, never the cause of the problems (pic related). Have run across 3 references, it is very concerning (and not right!). Someone referred to them as "secret police". I wanted to make a post but really scattered right now. Also, the coffin makes me sick. The gold plate makes me sick, it is not a symbol of humility. It's more like a symbol of a Pharaoh, wealth, and power. I just don't like it... for anyone really, it's not right, but ah, well, someone else is doing the preps and payment but it's still sickening and not what it's about. As for a closed coffin I did a search asking the question but got nothing. Well, got one hit maybe that told me nothing. I don't know what to make of it I hope we have answers coming. I thought it was etiquette to leave them open (even after autopsies) but I've just had a search, and it can depend on a number of factors, so it's not that significant. And Floyd Mayweather is the type of uber-rich Black man that claims to remember where he comes from but actually does nothing of the sort. Instead, he spends his millions on exotic automobiles and gold-plated furnishings for his mansion, while the neighborhood he grew up in continues to decay into a place of poverty, blight and violence. I believe the closed coffin is extremely suspect, and the excuse given in that article makes no sense. The reason people almost always have open caskets, when the face/head is not injured, is so that people can pay their respects and get closure. We actually ARE at war, and we have been at war for some time now, even though the vast majority of people are not aware of it. It's not a civil war, it's a global war over ideas. It's a war between those of us who believe in freedom, in liberty, in the right to self-determination and self-autonomy, and those of us who believe in big brother govt micro-management over every aspect of our lives like we're nothing but livestock to be controlled, tagged, and tracked. Or simply put, it's a war between Freedom and Marxism. The reason all of this rioting and upheaval is happening is because the people on the side of Freedom do not realize that we are at war, but the people behind the scenes, the people funding and organizing what is happening, knew we were at war and they were quietly preparing and organizing and getting ready for exactly what is happening now. The rest of us need to wake the fuck up and realize what is happening, or we're going to get steamrolled by these ignorant, uneducated mobs that the Marxist side has indoctrinated and co-opted to crush us. No. None of that is a reason to not have an open casket. The face would be intact, any other work would be sewn up and the body reconstituted. It's also hard for me to answer your question because...I'm struggling to find the right words...I don't know how to explain things to someone who has not been to the other side like I have without sounding condescending. I do not want to sound like that. I'm sure David Icke could answer your question better than I can. The place to start is with yourself. Do your very best to live your life the way you believe things should be, and treat everyone the way you want to be treated. Defy the system by breaking every stupid rule every chance you get if you can do it without "problems". If every person did that instead of ranting and raving and wasting time on Facebook and Twitter and Snapchat, etc., the world would be in a much better place. Social media and everyone being addicted to their smartphones is destroying the underlying social fabric of our society. If you're afraid to, go onto the Ubuntu or pop_os subs on reddit and there's many people to help you.
