My ex husband (divorced over 5 years ago after being together for 26 years) and my dad (died Christmas Eve 2018) were both Freemasons, and despite what people think, I know for a fact that the typical lodges are not the dens of evil some people think they are. Far from it. I've no doubt that the higher echelons are a completely different story, but what they involve themselves in is not the norm. The upper echelons of most organisations are probably corrupt. It doesn't mean that the people at the bottom of the pyramid are aware of it. They are ordinary men - butchers, bakers & candlestick makers. The myth that all Masons are corrupt is actually not of any consequence to me (i'm the wrong gender to be a Mason, even if I had the inclination) but I don't hide what little knowledge of it I have, because I don't like seeing anger / hatred / fear, passionately misdirected. Particularly if it comes to applauding bombing them. It's a bit like advocating blowing up mosques indiscriminately because some who worship in them are terrorists. Or blowing up churches because some priests are paedo's. Wrong is wrong. Hi Tinfoil, I could swear that I replied to your post regarding this, but I agree, I don't believe that all of them are bad but the secrecy is certainly suspicious, especially when we see their compass and square turn up carved into light poles, and tattooed on people in the porn industry who do mainly anal scenes (don't ask, I worked with someone who did adult "entertainment" as a side gig). I'm sure the lower level masons (I've heard this is the blue lodge.... ?) are clueless to what goes on at the top levels. My comment re the likely staged bombing was sarcastic, as much as I suspect them I don't wish harm to them, unless they are implicated in pedo activity then let their fellow inmates take care of them.
