EnigmaticWorld
Of course you won't hear much about this from cultural marxist RT though, because they project their soft power onto the West in a way that makes them appear to be based to the outsider. Serbia's Prime Minister is lesbian, and Serbia still protects traditional values. What I do have an issue with is Russia's hypocrisy, and all the alt-right folks that pretend that Russia is some wholesome nation. 1

Mr Crabtree
On 9/5/2022 at 3:30 PM, Macnamara said: Sanctions on russia are seeing hollywood films denied to them which means that russians are exploring other cultural avenues which lets face are likely to be far less toxic and mind polluting: 4 Sep, 2022 21:24 Block-busted: How Russians survive without Hollywood With major film publishers halting their distribution in Russia, many movie theaters have become deserted. But that has given other forms of cultural entertainment a breath of fresh air By Andrey Rachkin, KHL administrator, avid gamer, RT Games and Culture contributor. In the meantime, a trend started emerging – all of a sudden theater plays were getting more attendees than usual, along with zoos and museums. To my surprise, there was an almost sold-out screening at the Moscow planetarium about how the universe can be seen in UV or IR light. And it was a regular showing on a regular Thursday, just like in any movie theater. The only difference was that it was not about superheroes or a cliche love triangle, but about the world we live in. And you could walk around and see an exhibition on the history of space exploration while you waited for the film to start. It was basically a school field trip. And people were thrilled to go! For many Russians, this sudden detox from Western entertainment – which had basically taken over the space – feels like a much-needed and much-deserved break. Many people are using this to expand their outlook on life, to learn that there are other countries whose culture has so much to offer, and rightly so. For example, the Spanish-Argentinian comedy ‘Official Competition’ managed to gross more in Russia than in the US, and even more than in its native Spain! Looks like not everyone likes to see the same action films with the same characters again and again … or at least many are open to alternatives, if they can only be seen behind the mainstream’s bright marketing. Jokes have been made that by taking away superhero movies and fast-food chains, the West is only making Russians more cultured and educated – and there may just end up being some truth to it. Mind you, there is nothing wrong with stuffing your face with popcorn while watching a movie with clear moral instructions on which character is good or bad and where to feel sad or proud. Such is entertainment – it’s a form of escapism from your woes and a way to relax. But it is nice to see that, for once, the scales are not so one-sided, and that more people are finding other ways to spend their evening and enjoy something deeper. https://www.rt.com/pop-culture/561621-film-publishers-halting-distribution-russia/ The Americans have won more wars in Hollywood movies than they ever did in the real world, and killed less of their own troops by accident too! 1

EnigmaticWorld
I need a Puma or Boss deal too, I buy enough of their product. I used to pretty much only buy Adidas sportswear because they always seemed more mature and athletic compared to ghetto ass Nike clothing. I stopped buying Adidas since they started getting in on cancel culture though, now I buy from the other brother's line. Adidas vs Puma: The story of the Adidas and Puma brothers https://fabrikbrands.com/adidas-vs-puma-the-adidas-and-puma-brothers/ Now I'm in my mid thirties and I'm starting to have an identity crisis in regards to aesthetics. I like to dress smart when going out, but not when I'm lounging around, and obviously not when I'm exercising. I feel fake when dressing up like I'm middle or upper class too because I'm still attached to my working class council estate roots and I don't want to look like a pretentious twat, so I guess I still look for sportswear, but stuff that isn't ghetto. Been browsing /fa/ quite a bit recently looking for new wardrobe inspiration, but that board seems pretty America-centric, and I would rather embrace my European identity. EnigmaticWorld
That being said, even though I find traditional architecture more pleasing on the eye, as well as most people because eye tracking studies prove this, I understand that it's not that simple. I get that traditional architecture often has higher maintenance costs, and often isn't insulated as well.
