When I first saw the Sistine Chapel, my eyes welled up with tears of happiness. This feeling is hard to put into words. But the world's population has increased almost 10 times since then. We all need affordable housing. Therefore, beautiful architecture has been replaced by glass&metal boxes - cheap, simple, and functional. I get that aesthetics are not very important to somebody that just wants a roof over their head, but it's deeper than just architecture. We are witnessing an attack by an elite clique that openly say that they hate Europe and her beauty. Their words, not mine.
