The origins of Sagging must be unknown to those who dress as such. During the early nineties in the California Penitentiary system, homosexual inmates would sagg their pants in order to show off their ass-cracks that other inmates may be attracted to them and recognise them as gay and available. When these inmates left prison they would often continue sagging their pants and this being seen by others as gang fashion was then emulated and spread through the culture loosing its original intent now being seen as a cool and tough fashion statement that rebelled against the common decency of the western dress code that one doesn't reveal ones underwear in public. I mean really, at some point one has to be honest and say that this is not a racial issue, it is not a cultural issue, it is not even an issue of civil rights or freedom of expression.
