There's a film I saw when I was about 12 it was called picnic at hanging rock. The 1975 film, not the later one. The soundtrack is by Gheorge Zamfir. (Doina sus pe culmea dealului) sorry I'm not sure how to post a link properly. But if anyone wants to look it up. It's the most beautiful, haunting, magical tune I've ever heard and it stayed with me from the moment I heard it. It won't be everyone's taste I know, but maybe someone might enjoy it as much as I did.

Here you go . In YouTube cluck the share icon the copy link it pastes straight in

This is one of two songs that destroyed Morrissey in the eyes of the music press of the day.

Despite the fact that this is an excellent song he was hated and reviled, despite the fact that he was still a genius and 30 years ahead of his time

Based Morrissey.

It actually felt dangerous to listen to this back in the day.....

ENGLAND FOR THE ENGLISH.

Morrissey was/is a genius.  Wouldn't let me quite the lot so here it is again

Thankyou very much kj35, very nice of you, wasn't too sure about it.

Only quoted you because otherwise it wouldn't let me post.

Who knows why...

I think that's a MBV track title.

Love Phantom Limb. How could you not love the meldodica geek - 'Jolly well done!. ?

I never liked Phanton Limb after he stole Dr. Girlfriend from The Monarch. And, he wears a lot of purple for a white guy.

Go team Venture!

There are many examples in the past of "hidden hands" influencing the charts or music in general.

The Sex Pistols probably the most famous .

An example is a band called the Members , those of a certain vintage will remember "suburbs"

however the follow up was a minor hit called "offshore banking business" which if you listen

to the lyrics spills the beans on dubious financial activities and practices. There was a bit of a

furore about the song from the countries mentioned Bahamas Curacao etc and a minor international

incident . They never had another hit in the UK despite a radio friendly single called "Radio" which had

extensive airplay and was a Radio 1 jingle too. With this said the singer Nick Tesco has morphed into

a woke left wing middle class twat .

I have always loved this song too! In fact, I listened to it again earlier this year when this plandemic had already started. Isn't Noel a son of Rex Harrison? I think we were told this when he performed it all those years ago on Top of the Pops and other TV shows. Those were the days...! I was only a teenager then, but always loved watching all the shows on weekends. Those were all real, original artists with music that you recognize with only hearing the first few bars...?

Emeli Sande - Sparrow

Yes, good.

When I first read the title, I thought she would sing a version of Simon and Garfunkel's song "Sparrow". But this one is totally different.

In case you haven't heard the Simon & Garfunkel one, here it is, although it's a little sad. Well, about a sparrow.
