Maybe you didn't understand the simple diagram. The Moon goes from A to B at the same but where the curve is not shallow it covers MORE Earth distance, therefore less relative speed on the Earth. Please don't make yourself even more foolish by disputing that.

The variance in rotational speed by latitude is indisputable, basic physics.

what a bunch of gobbledegook

the moon creates the shadow, the shadow moves at the same speed as the moons linear speed

the earth rotates (between 44* and 33* ) 1300km/hr and 1500km/hr

madras observed the eclipse at 10.20am 1300km/hr spin

carbondale at 1.20pm 1500km/hr spin

there is very little difference in 'curve shallowness' between these two at the time of observation

3545km/hr vs 2346km/hr doesnt seem to fit the model

to clarify with ref to the diagram considering a clock and hours

at 9oclock to 8oclock is the same distance on a globe as 8 to 7 and as 7 to 6

however 6.30 to 5.30 arc is almost  parrallel to the straight line between 9 and 3

therefore the speed experienced between madras and carbondale of the shadow SHOULD be almost the same as 3700km/hr minus the earth spin

that is not recorded in the data

and to clarify

speed experienced between 9pm and 8pm will be much faster than between 6.30 and 5.30 correct?

Brought up or not, it is fascinating to me and no one has really dealt with it.

Have you made sense of Byrd's statement regarding a continent the size of America on the other side of Antarctica? Does that even make sense to you if we lived on the globe that we have all seen since early childhood? And would not additional land/resources be reason enough for them to hide this from us?

Here's another interesting video about Antarctica and sky glass.......

Very odd, he wasnt rude or abusive on this thread. Goodness knows what he said or did

After all ,words are violence ???

While the mod team are not at liberty to discuss reasons for members being banned publicly, I can say that this member fell foul of the forum rules and was banned for good reason.

That's all you need to know. Now back to topic if you please! 😉

I like freedom and hate control. We all do, so well done for moderating this forum.

I have question: why are you not at liberty to say?

My early observation is that all the debate has suddenly stopped on these threads, do you see this too?

Flat earth had it the whole way. They were the ones posting the experiments while the heliocentricts posted purposely deceptive video and memes, appeals to authority about a story that relies on numerous unproven assumptions along with numerous posts using proven techniques to simply stifle legitimate discussion.

@zArk spent pages showing him just one of many known observations that falsify heliocentrism, yet these are simply dismissed in favor of obfuscation.

How long were going to let him continue about the sun never getting smaller as it moves away from the observer? Did that amuse you?

If a heliocentric universe existed and if we existed on a sphere moving all over the place at speeds that are not even truly comprehensible, there would be proof and it would be simple. It would certainly not be a bother.

Carlos has been banned - see the post below from the WTC thread.

Can you tell us what happened to "avoiceinthecrowd" and "bflat?"

90 pages of bickering... Several members banned.... and what have we learnt?

For me it was not to take the bible literally... gods understanding evolves with our collective understanding. There is no need to question your faith because the earth is a sphere. Jesus taught us to embrace new thinking and not to hold onto old ideologies.

I would be happy if this debate was never re opened.

I would be happy with one scrap of proof that the realm spins.

I would be happy with one photo of hilly water

Wheres the curve,oh where can it be ?

Its a lie people, and its a dog that can,t have any sleep still.

I love seeing the experiments , I find this debate so exciting,it reasures me that our human race still questions.

I would be fine with admitting I have been wrong, its not about beating people who choose a globe over the head with insults.

Question everything, learn and move forward.

@alexa Really? You get given slam dunk videos and have nothing to say about them? Then post the flat earth map that turns international flying routes into.....well....comedy time! How about you research the routes and times, use some trigonometry and work out why that map cannot work.

On your map the circumference running through Sydney / Santiago is very economically 32,000 (nearer 35k). Divide by pi = 10,184 straight line distance, which incidentally takes you over America and not 100% across the water as the flight is.

Here's your starter for 10:

Sydney to Santiago - flying time 12 hours 35 minutes  - distance 7,046 miles. Boeing 787 cruising speed 561 mph. Works just fine.

Sydney to Santiago - flying time 12 hours 35 minutes  - distance 10,184 miles. Boeing 787 cruising speed 561 mph. Not so much.
