Now, look at what happens with all your math when input it into a computer. Pay special attention at 1 mile, 5 miles, 10 miles and 20 miles.

1 mile is at 2:09

5 miles is at 2:11

10 miles is at 2:12

20 miles is at 2:15

Why do many of my links not post correctly?

Ok, that is just pure denial. You have been provided with more academic links then anyone should require.

The angle at sea level and pretty much every angle up to the top of large buildings is not discernible to the human eye. As stated on the original bloody post! It looks level with the horizon on a globe and on a flat earth.

And dude, don't you dare quote your "appeal to authority" when

a) you ignore a million things from authority way better qualified than you

b) your "authority" was a drawing website.

I don't require ANY academic links to know that the horizon MUST always be below eye level. Put the bong down.

Cool, perspective  plays no role and you learned how to use an online calculator.

That is correct and it is irrelevant whether I save time with something you don't understand. You ignore its use every time it is quoted, with nothing but bloviating and arm waving.

Now, is this angle discernible?

Are you frickin' blind????

2 hours ago, Comedy Time said:

Angle theta is 0.217 degree. THAT is how far down the eye needs to look to see the horizon. Nobody has the capacity to discern a difference between that angle and level.

Angle theta is 0.28 degrees. Again THAT is how far down the eye needs to look to see the horizon. Nobody has the capacity to discern a difference between that angle and level.

Angle theta is 2.8 degrees. THAT is how far down the eye needs to look to see the horizon. Is it possible for somebody to know they are looking down at just under 3 degrees of arc? Doubtful but totally irrelevant anyway - that is exactly what should and does occur on both models!!

Sorry for the bold, enlarged text, but for some reason it seems to get through to you better.

Nothing gets through to you. I have never come across such wilful ignorance on this forum or the other.

All perfectly fine by me. I paid attention:classic_rolleyes:

Spam-o-vid. I am actually wondering whether you think that because the camera tilts down or the image is moved up you think this somehow means something? Or maybe it confuses you that the camera looks straight at the horizon, therefore it cannot be a downward angle to do so???

There was this thing on JREF many years ago for really dumb statements - it was called a Stundie - if you genuinely think what I just surmised, then your claim would be a worthy candidaterabugento1.gif

Even the forum software is trying to stop you posting horseshit. Cut and paste it into a browser - then recopy it.

@amy G

Brilliant spot - didn't occur to me. The density is still the same but they're floating.

Cue bloviating and arm flailing response from him?

Corresponding altitudes would have been helpful at the pauses but maybe that was just an oversight.

Err no. It is continuous footage and the plane is at cruising altitude pretty much the whole time. It is a piffling side issue that puts that "horizon always comes up" bullshit in its place. It's irrelevant in the extreme.

Are you a fence sitter or something? The Sun - above eye level drops below it and disappears full size. Just that - flat earth kicked in the gonads with a size 20 Doc Marten.

Err yes, it would have verified the footage better. I have seen plenty of other continuous flight vids.

It isn't piffling or irrelevant to want more data.

I understand (and experience) it as 'the horizon is always at eye level'.

I'm not a fence sitter, that's cowardice. I believe for simple reasons that we're not on a crazy spinning ball hurtling at great speed... etc. etc..

You're not particularly articulate are you, why do you constantly use insulting language? It's like dealing with a teenager.

How would it? It is at the same altitude the whole flight.

No, you misunderstand, the "issue" raised by the flat earthers is piffling and irrelevant. If you had been following this full line of exchange you would have seen why. How much more data do you want?

2 minutes ago, Nobby Noboddy said:

Yes it is pretty much, but as I have shown it is expected and only a gentle look down to the horizon at altitude. It was a claim made as some colossal ahaaaa, when it is nothing of the sort.

No it isn't, it's called considering options and nothing wrong with it.

What simple reasons do you have for doubting spinning and "hurtling"?

Yes I am, I am very articulate, way more than most on this forum. Perhaps you should go and review the meaning of the word.

Huh? You find that insulting, you poor little thing. I'm so sorry, didn't want to hurt your feelings.

Try it from this side, it's like dealing with a large number of people who seem to have a very low collective intelligence, who are skilled at evasion and find ways to suck up nonsense in ways that amaze. Poetry.

Nylon wires. You know why it looks so different to weightless footage? Because he has control of his movements the whole time.

Now imagine how the hell they are going to rig those wires up for that 6 minutes of ISS footage I showed you. Your chief observation was her frickin' hair! She went here there and everywhere, round corners, through hatches, including enclosed spaces and the camera above her old position.

Now I know your measure. Don't do that again, you inserted a line that was not in the post.

How do you know it's at the same altitude?

mmmm... next line, you're misrepresenting what I alluded to. YOU said further evidence was irrelevant, not the 'issue'.

Fence sitting is the situation where you have all the information to consider but can't decide which side to land on.

I don't feel any movement whatsoever. There are no signs you might consider conclusive to show it and it has never been conclusively proven. I suspect you'll say it has of course been proved so please cite.

Ha ha ha, yes very. Quite modest too it seems.

I do find your language unnecessarily insulting. Personally I am no longer insulted (see above) you can call me anything you like, just don't call me late for dinner. You are the poor little thing here.

Actually you started it (although I'm not sure what 'it' is) and have proven me correct with your penultimate statement.

Because that's what planes do! They don't dive and climb all the time. You mentioned you hadn't been in a plane or something like that.

Oh FFS!! I am trying to clarify what you had a bloody problem with!

No it isn't!

  1. a person who remains neutral or uncommitted on an issue.

You only notice acceleration. If you are in a plane on a train/ you notice changes in direction caused by turbulence/bumps and changes in speed. You do not notice steady motion.

The setting sun proves we a re spinning.

Well you accused me of something that I am not. Defence often needs immodesty. Normally I wouldn't make much noise about how good or bad I am at anything.

The moderators do not. If you get insulted from the mildest of forum banter then you should catch me when the shackles are off. I would have called you a jolly old rotter by now.

Ridiculous. You are turning a simple exchange into something it didn't need to be.

In response to......"It's like dealing with a teenager."   Dude, try to just belt up and debate. You are deliberately trying to wind me up.

Oh man, you don't know how to track where that "inserted line" came from do you.

YOU SAID THAT TO ME!!

Click the arrow in the top right corner to see where.

I quoted you and I have every right to do so. You accused me of being insulting when I am not being insulting, whilst I showed an example of you using a direct insult at me.

Thanks snods, that's very helpful and constructive. I've noticed your insightful and intelligent input before.

I'm not going to engage much with CT any more, no point.

And if you can't see that what he did (inserting a previous comment of mine into a more recent post) was disingenuous then you are as small as they are

You are insulting. Name calling is being insulting. Trying to belittle me for not being as tech-savvy as you is insulting. You really need help for your multitudinous problems. If you like I can recommend some self-help books although you'd probably prefer self-abuse books.

Or

You get paid to do this.

Come on, he was just pointing out when you insulted him & you walked straight into it.

Yes, ive made a lot of input on this topic above, that gets ignored & the topic just gets filled with lame videos that dont really prove anything. Maybe you could answer some of my questions, like Satellites or GPS & onboard WIFI with credible explanations.

If you are going to keep changing the topic to space is fake or NASA, go Alexa's thread..
