The “Nature of Reality” forum was recently hosting a thread where heated discussion was taking place regarding our plane, “a flat, nonrotating Earth” as nasa themselves reference multiple times in mul

I dont think that flat earth is a thing. But either way - why does the shape of the world matter? If its a flat sphere or a globe - there is no difference for us in our daily lifes, is it?

Uhuh and you actually believe that big pile of horseshit? The optical illusion says there is NO change to the size. A camera captures the same size no matter where in the sky no matter what angle, no matter where from. And what is your underlying claim - that the Sun is actually a tiny pinprick at the horizon? Or that the air density magnifies it?

are you saying that refraction doesnt exist for sunsets and sunrises?

Where are you getting your numbers?

And why bother with obviously dishonest memes?

But, you never circumnavigated it because that is impossible.

The coastline paradox proves all maps are wrong, especially on a globe. I promise you have no idea what the distance of any coastline is.

The coastline “paradox” is not a paradox. It is the bs you make up when face with incontrovertible facts to ludicrous claims you make. It has been circumnavigated multiple times. I didn’t give any numbers or post any memes.

It is a mathematical certainty. You have never researched any of this.

There is no proof of this and famous navigators have recorded in their journals trips for years that covered 60 or 70 thousand miles. Yet they were never able to do it.

I know, if you read the post I was quoting someone else there.

No. Are you saying it magnifies a tiny dot to a full disc? If not what daft point are you making.

Your comprehension failures are seriously getting in the way here.

I have.

Are you going to respond? Why not? Afraid to lose face?

Show me where you have!

I have no problem responding, being wrong, or moving on. I have evaded nothing.

If I put up a comprehensive video showing massive problems with your silly map....you would ignore it.

I suggest you try actual numbers that fit reality. These don't appear on the scripts so some actual research would come in handy here.

Now, please tell us the distance between 85.4°N 137.4°W and 85.7°N 142.5°W and also between 85.0°N 132.8°W and 86.4°N 169.8°E.

Are you going to respond? Why not? Afraid to lose face?

Well, I've just had a happy half hour before starting work!

Navigation calculations are fun aren't they!

'Later' I will post the answers with working.

WTF? The sun moves without changing size EVER and you post some nonsense about references to it moving in the bible, that have NOTHING to do with the point he raised!

I thought in your book that earth orbits the sun and doesn't move across our skies ??

I don't have a book and yes that is quite correct. The whole point is that in YOUR BOOK! the sun DOES move across the sky but does so in a way that cannot equate with what you claim.

I asked where the numbers came from. You claimed mathematics. I asked you to show your work.

From Sydney to North Pole is 8,560 miles. Though of course any flat earther can simply deny this without offering the real distance saying "I don't know"!! But according to the flat earth map distances from pole to pole are the same as for the globe. If not explain or evade.

Circumference at Sydney is 53,790 miles. If you dispute this, offer the correct distances or evade.

Perth 115.8605° E

Sydney 151.2093° E

Difference is 35.35 degrees a tad under 10% of the circumference.

Sydney to Perth on flat earth map is 5,300 miles rounded down.

http://distancebetween2.com/sydney/perth#:~:text=The total straight line distance,to Perth is 2045.2 miles.

Only it it's just over 2000 miles!!!

Don't you think the Australians would have noticed. Duhhhhhhhh.

Are you going to respond? Why not? Afraid to lose face? Evasion coming up.

The only way to get Sydney Perth distance actually correct is to have the distance from Sydney to The North Pole 3,254 miles.....LMAO....as if.

Start a thread and if it piques my interest we can discuss them. But SURELY you know these passages have gone through DOZENS of translations?

Notwithstanding that NONE of them talk about the size of the Sun which was the whole point.

I'm not Australian but when I drove a van from just outside Sydney to just outside Perth I'm sure as sure can be that although it took a looooong time the journey was nowhere near 5000 miles.

LOL 😂

@bflat outside planet flat thats the distance hundreds of planes travel every day.

I dont know why or how you get away with your constant obvious 2+2=5 trolling on here, asking nonsense painstakingly tedious questions to avoid the obvious, gaslighting people claiming the are posting deceptions.

As I stated to you, which you avoid, the map is based on North & South Pole values, stretched out & distorted.

The map works out timeline calculations, not distance travelled.

"The map is not so extorted as to lose the relative latitude and longitude of any places on the land or sea, but retains all latitudes and longitudes of places agreeing with other recognized authors; and as the proper relations of continents and countries all stand in their relative position to each other, they are thus impressed upon the mind of the student. The extorsion of the map from that of a globe consists, mainly in the straightening out of the meridian lines allowing each to retain their original value from Greenwich, the equator to the two poles."

they moon and sun appear to be the same diameter and you can assume the size is the same

Yes but not for the reasons you postulate

your getting close, that was half the question ,in case you have forgotten the other part was, dose the sun change size as it moves across the sky or more to the point as the earth rotates and the distance to your point of observation increases. Come on you can do it , it either dose or it doesn't

Out of context once again , and you being such a godly type and all

I have taken nothing out of context you said, ' dose the sun change size as it moves across the sky' and then knowing what you just said, then said, '  or more to the point as the earth rotates and the distance to your point of observation increases. '

Come on you can't have it both ways, either the the sun move across the sky or it doesn't

Incessant diversionary crap. Is this just a comprehension issue - I already answered this. YOU claim the Sun moves and quite clearly he clarified OUR position (normal reality!)

"more to the point as the earth rotates and the distance to your point of observation increases".

You gonna bloody answer it?

Yes, it moves from our perspective. No, it doesn't in reality the Earth spins on its axis.

Do you have a STFU button for diversionary crap and an ON switch to answer the damn point being made? Just curious.
