Yeah, my ex-girlfriend was Chilean and I have loads of Argie and Brazilian mates so I know a bit about the culture. I can also speak Spanish and basic Portuguese which helps. My wife is C Rican, we are definitely considering returning there to live in the future. Of course getting there could be a problem. No real lockdowns there though masks mandatory everywhere.
