Coronavirus Mega-Thread.

Message added by Grumpy Owl,

This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

I think that getting a regular low dose of exposure to all naturally occurring viruses is VITAL for a healthy immune system.  People out and about are getting that with c19.  That allows the body's immune system to recognize, fight and adjust levels of action utilized to destroy the virus.  Nature's way.

If they put people like you in charge of policy, this bullshit would have been over before it began.

I have now been called to the final vaccination deadline as a health care professional. I informed my employer that these vaccines are not technically vaccines, but are "gene therapies" as they employ

You wont believe this.   I just went down Lidls to get some steak.   Security guard calls me out as I walk past & I ignore him. Gets my steak walks to the credit only till

EXPLAIN PLEASE........   People expect so many answers without giving anything back in return.   If the "tin foil hatters" are so nuts, how about the rule followers give some answe

I work in social care and may have to have a jab as well to continue to work. If the Oxford vaccine isn't mRNA based then perhaps that would be the one to consider, if it's unavoidable. Will also try to delay it for as long as possible though and see what first

It seems that the Oxford/Astra Zeneca one is the less dangerous of the two. But no-one knows the ingredients or mode of operation of either.

As such, both represent the triumph of blind faith over proper science. They haven't really moved on since the days when Charles II was getting prescribed two dead pigeons on his head during his final illness. ' The King is getting worse!  Quick, kill some more pigeons and stick them on his head.'

The Whittys and Fergusons of the seventeenth century maybe...

If lockdowns actually are an attempt to stop the virus (which I very much doubt) it reminds me of that scene in Blackadder goes forth where General Melched believes the Germans will never guess that troops would go over the top from the British trenches yet again after doing so and being slaughtered so many times. Lockdowns haven't worked several times so far so let's do it again...

They would agree with the universal truth that if a politician's mouth is moving, they are lying... yet somehow, if it's about Covid, suddenly – MAGICALLY – they are all telling the truth!

That's because scientists are revered as truth tellers. These lying politicians are merely following the advice of scientists and for once, being forced to tell the truth.

Science doesn't lie. Scientists don't lie.

Not according to the masses. And it is the masses that determine where we are today and where we are heading.

Yeah I've heard this shit before, however, look around you, does it seem like there's going to be enough people to stop it? Is this truly the awakening?

I do look around, all the time, there's more than enough people to stop it. I believe this is truly the awakening, because it has to be. The control freaks aren't fucking around anymore, they're all in on this, it pretty much feels like their final roll of the dice, they've placed their last bet and put everything on this, the wheel is still spinning though, and they're desperate and sweating. Crap analogy but it's the best I can come up with at the moment.

Everywhere I look, or the people I speak to are all part of this cult I'm afraid. If we were to be the ones to stop this, I'd see more positive actions, but that's not happening right now and doesn't look like changing anytime soon. Nice sentiment though, just doesn't seem to be applicable in reality.

Well we'll see more positive actions when we see more positive actions. There is a kind of limbo element to it, we're still in a bit of a waiting phase, a let's see what happens phase, a let's just get through this next bit phase. That's all coming to an end though, sooner rather than later. I kind of still in that limbo of let's see what happens next, but the time is coming when instead of waiting to see more positive actions, I'm going to have to start doing more positive actions. I'm already not complying to the best of my ability, I've been barred entry to a few places, Cathedrals of all places, God's houses. Well I could have gained entry but I didn't want to give in my details for the track and trace bullshit, so we turned around and walked away. I should have engaged with them more, not confronted them or argued, or reeled off a load of facts, but just gently engage them in a little heart to heart. I haven't really been doing my bit on that front.

Nothing changes until it changes, and most of the time those changes have to be made and not waited for. Like I said, I'm still not quite out of that waiting part just yet, it's coming though.

Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be enough people with the guts to say no, so yeah, the creator does need to intervene because the flock has lost and are being devoured by the wolves as we speak.

I've never liked that whole flock thing. If God made us in his own image, and if we are the flock, then God must be a sheep! I don't think God wants a flock of idiotic sheep.

At what point does the creator intervene? What shall we do, just sit here and wait for him to come? I think we need to meet him halfway. If he thought we were just waiting to be saved and doing nothing to help ourselves, maybe he'd wonder whether we're actually worth saving at all.

I don't have all the answers, I'm going through this shit along with you and everyone else, and it might just be the hardest thing we've ever had to face in the history of our species, but I know this, I want to stand up and face it like a man. I have choices, I've been cynical in the past, and I've been negative and all that crap, but since this started and in recent months I've chosen to be more positive and hopeful, it's a personal choice for me, I think it's the only choice, but I still have a lot of work to do on myself, I'm not bouncing around like some hero, it's often a struggle, but I want to do the right thing, and face it with the right attitude.

To be fair the masses are informed by the MSM and lap up whatever the TV tells them

But don't believe politicians. Can you see how thick people really are?

Where else do people hear and see politicians speak EXCEPT through the media?

I've had a lot of vaccines as a world traveling wildlife photographer and when I've got sick I've not got as sick or died (nearly did a couple of times, risk comes with the job!) as I would have without the vaccine.  Theory goes that the vax will cause an immune response by introducing a disabled or 'dead/inactive' amount of the potential pathogen (yellow fever, diptheria, hepatitis etc.) so that when you are infected with this in the wild the immune system is primed to make an immediate and effective response.  The Oxford Astra Zeneca and the Gam/Russian are viral vector vaccines, which I can't see will have any detrimental effect as the dna in the virus is disabled and cannot therefore replicate in a person'ssystem (I might have one of these so that I can gain the vax passport as I need it for my job, maybe, but I will do a lot more rsearch into results and risk factors over the next nine months (my next trip is Sri Lanka, Photo shoot in October.  See how it all goes by then.  The mRNA though is a totally different ball game, far more risky, but I'm no expert, I won't have this type of vaccine, risks or me are worse that risks imposed by contracting c19 (I've had it last spring, mildly and should therefore have some immunity) itself.  The vax passports politically are still very much 'up in the air'.  Again see how it all pans out.

I'm sorry, what?

You promoting vaccines and digital passports.

Every else you have said is now tarred.

Your card is marked.

The masses should remember the adage: 'He who pays the piper calls the tune.'

The livelihood of academics/scientists depends on grants from Government, grants from Big Pharma, grants from Gates.

They have zero financial independence and therefore zero credibility. Whatever their qualifications, they have been reduced to  the level of mere salesmen and promoters.

Just say NO

I work on "front line" and have not worn a mask or taken the jab when offered.

Its not easy, but have a bit of back bone and stand by your beliefs.

If we acquiesce now for whatever reason. We are fucked and condemning our kids.

The immune system doesn't recognize c19 because it doesn't exist.

is anyone still getting older people approaching you on the pavement running across the road to avoid you.

i had an old dear run up someones drive today to avoid getting the lurgy

I'm an 'older person' and I've encountered the opposite with young people. But my generation was brought up to believe that the government would always act in the  interests of the people, and that to question authority was a bad thing.

I'm taking the government's advice to heart about pretending to have the virus so I don't go in the day....

.... but I do shamble around old people's homes after dark, moaning regularly and occasionally let rip with a bowel tightening "Come out Neville!!"
