KTgran
I don't know how to find it without a huge headache but 'Fluke' said something yesterday I wanted to go back to as I didn't put a like on it at the time. It was about us looking at our beliefs and realising they *are* beliefs, and as such probably/definitely have some cognitive bias. It's one of the most important things in a person's growth to realise this, I believe. For many reasons, mostly because of our upbringing, we are biassed, it's inevitable. The best thing we can do is check our sources and references but unless we're experts we're all choosing the experts that match our bias. For example, two people I've told in real life that I don't believe any of this crap have said, so you're right wing? Hello? Nope. Brought up old Labour, definitely never right wing. I don't care who you'd vote for, I still have my beliefs about the so called virus and it's nothing to do with my politics. Why are people joining camps according to their political views? My gut tells me I'm right, but it's not political and I realise I MIGHT BE WRONG. I just don't believe so. Had to get that off my chest. Really liked Fluke's post.

Liberty
4 hours ago, SimonTV said: Can anyone find the BMJ study about there being little to no risk of asymptomatic transmission after studying 10 million people in China? It seems to have vanished, I do see a lot of news articles about it but none link to the study. I found some articles discussing the study on BMJ, where they try to down play it of course. Maybe they are covering it up because they didn't like the conclusion. Is it this one? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33219229/ Stringent COVID-19 control measures were imposed in Wuhan between January 23 and April 8, 2020. Estimates of the prevalence of infection following the release of restrictions could inform post-lockdown pandemic management. Here, we describe a city-wide SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid screening programme between May 14 and June 1, 2020 in Wuhan. All city residents aged six years or older were eligible and 9,899,828 (92.9%) participated. No new symptomatic cases and 300 asymptomatic cases (detection rate 0.303/10,000, 95% CI 0.270-0.339/10,000) were identified. There were no positive tests amongst 1,174 close contacts of asymptomatic cases. 107 of 34,424 previously recovered COVID-19 patients tested positive again (re-positive rate 0.31%, 95% CI 0.423-0.574%). The prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in Wuhan was therefore very low five to eight weeks after the end of lockdown. sickofallthebollocks
Bradfords new I - Walker scheme!!!! A paid twat to walk around the town centre with a tell-a-vision on his shoulders/head. Great stuff - well done Bradford Council! Great to see first hand what your freemason bosses have decided how to 'keep everyone safe' They have been forced to remove their once proud explanation off facebook due to so many negative replies. This comes after Bradford Council warned residents that they were forced to increase the Council tax in the coming year, and then they go and spend the taxpayers money on this....... Mr H
No idea if local only in Germany, but my family there just told me that they have new mask rules in their area. You have to wear a "special" mask to go into shops - not these throwaway ones we have. Think they are referring to the medical grade ones. Apparently almost impossible to breathe in. Sometimes these things catch on in other countries, so just making people aware this is a possibilty here.

Or you could view it, the dollar has risen in value in two weeks, but we of course know that currency has no real value. But yes, to any other person who hasn't already - agree with the other post above - if you don't have your money in real assets the next few years you can say hasta la vista to your wealth. But if I can admit cognitive bias then maybe I'm just wishing 'the other side' ;) could too. I can't find Fluke's post now, but he said it better than I can. I was probably reading around the forum and reading folks total conviction about 'their' religion and it struck home. Also, the posts yesterday about trying to persuade others of our opinion .
