On a more humorous note, Priti Patel just got the Covid rules wrong yet again and I think most folks do know this one. She couldn't accept it though and later tried to make out that she really meant to say 'socialise'; not 'exercise'. Yeah, right. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/priti-patel-gets-covid-19-23318363 'Priti Patel gets Covid-19 rules wrong and suggests people should exercise alone.' SimonTV
Found this website where you can search old newspapers in the UK. Being interested in the year 1993 to see what sort of articles they had on the topic of flu or vaccines. Search for yourself. Some interesting articles there. Beijing flu and yuppie flu is mentioned and "running out of vaccines". Same old lies but guess what? No mention of any kind of lockdown. Quote Lack of sleep a cause of yuppie 'flu THE chronic fatigue syndrome known as Yuppie Flu may be caused by sleep disorders which make sufferers constantly tired, according to a study published in the British Medical Journal yesterday. https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/search/results/1993-01-01/1993-12-31?basicsearch=flu&exactsearch=false&retrievecountrycounts=false

I think you may have made a similar mistake to the one I made with numbers. The deaths you quote are England and Wales whilst the population figure (UK) you give includes Scotland and Ireland. However the ratio idea still works but with different numbers. Briefly: year deaths population Rate/1000 ASMR (x 1000) 2020 608,002 59,829 1016.2 1043.5 1993 578,521 50,986 1134.7 1453.4 ASMR - standardised to the 2013 European Standard Population, expressed per 100,000 population: allows comparisons with different age structures, males and females over time. Data from ONS (Office for National Statistics) Apologies I have quoted wrong person - I am referring to oddsnsods table Edited January 15, 2021 by Concerned Citizen extra added

Yes, the point made is not diluted much, when also accounting for Scotland and Northern Ireland, if you are indeed correct. This is why I was saying, only last month, that we all need to try and be as careful as possible during these Covid days. However, no matter how careful we are, there will always be some PTB idiot about, who tries making out that we said everyone who takes the vaccine would die on the spot or soon after. Ha ha.
