Coronavirus Mega-Thread.

Message added by Grumpy Owl,

This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

Millennials wont need any encouragement to do that, they already post about bloody everything from what they’re wearing to what they’re eating!

But people can instantly connect with these anecdotes. They raise awareness of the infection and its potential impacts. They’re particularly important for young adults who use social media as one of their sole sources of information and who have been somewhat reckless due to underestimating the risk of the virus.”

Always target the young. The reckless youth who get their worldview brainwashing from anecdotes gleamed from social media.

Do you think she did it to get a reaction out of you?  If so. Don’t respond.  Or respond with a nice message saying what a great day your having doing something you enjoy and hope she’s ok.

Everyone is seriously pissed off with these restrictions and now Christmas has been cancelled in some areas. My take, which is very different to others in here, is that the vaccine should not be public enemy no. 1. The vaccine is the one thing that is going to put a stop to this in the near future. I know about problem reaction solution. Don't think it applies here. The theories about what the plan is for this vaccine just don't hold up to scrutiny. The trials were done and now around 350,000 people have had take it. When do you expect the adverse reactions to start? (by adverse reactions I mean anything above the statistically norm). After 1 million? 5 million? There will be no significant adverse reactions.

Next couple of months will be tough. And we need to look after our mental health. Obsessing over evil vaccines isn't going to help you and you will see in 3-4 months, the anxiety was not warranted. Get outside, take up a hobby, call a friend. Stay safe.

You may think your mind is freed but it's not.

We do need need to look after our mental health though. The last points are good about getting outside, speaking with friends. The vaccine roll out is here and we’ve done all we could to warn people. It is time to start taking better care of ourselves and the more we get out the more others will see it’s normal outside.

Back in 1989 my father used to give me an ammo list and I’d buy it at Kmart, I shit you not. He’d send me as I was 18 and had a licence, plus I was doing other shopping and he hated Kmart. This is Melbourne Australia btw.... and pre Port Arthur. I should qualify that it was kept in locked cabinets and you did have to show your licence to buy it, but Kmart!!!! I tell my kids that and they look at me like I just grew horns.

Sometime in the early 90s mainstream television was interviewing a retired CSIS (canadian intelligence) agent. The agent made a comment that stayed with me. He said that authorities better ramp up national security measures for the plans they have in mind. He would not say details but he sounded like it was going to be big. The covid maskerade is that big considering the immense security concerns it has generated.

Hi

I saw a medical doctor claiming as the "vaccine" doesn't stop infection spreading but only reduces the symptoms by the medical definition this is not a vaccine but a medical treatment.

Does anyone know if this is a true thing on both counts?

Is it not a vaccine?

Does it stop infection spreading?

Bill Thornton advises that anyone who gets a fine pays it immediately and then make a claim against the organisation that fined you for trespass based in your court of record that proceeds according to the common law.

he does not recommend arguing the toss with the police officer in public or ignoring it or defending the fine.

In a common law country a fine without court order is unlawful. the officer is exceeding his jurisdiction (unless you have signed a contract prior to it of course)

Sound advice. The judge is the legal expert and the cop is an enforcer. A robot. Cops know that even if you can beat the rap easily he will have caused you a trip through the halls of justice and will exercise this type of discretion in accordance with his personal bias.

Ticketing someone you know has not broken any law because you want to inflict the system on them is a weaponized fine.

Don’t know why but read some comments on bbc about this. Judging by opinion Morrison’s is about to become much busier.

As you all know. On the bbc only certain articles are allowed to be commented on. This way they get support for their agenda from their hopelessly biased readers.

Here we go... In other news...

Construction workers “allowed” to go to work,  “as long as they get tested”...

https://www.pbctoday.co.uk/news/health-safety-news/construction-covid-testing/87158/

Driving the narrative to bump up “case numbers” by testing “asymptomatic” people to prove Cretin Hancock’s logic that if there’s nothing wrong with you, then need to go for a test that doesn’t test for a virus which has never been proven to exist to prove that you don’t have it...

The only thing that is wrong here is people choosing to comply with this absolute nonsense.

They claimed that covid19 is 3 times deadly than flu. I just don't understand why the government would want to shut down businesses etc unless there is indeed a serious risk to people. Surely they would want to collect taxes rather than put the country into serious debt. I know governments are not always just but surely they will at least want to keep lining their own pockets with tax from businesses and workers. I just don't see the point in making this all up. There's so much disinformation around these days.

Indeed. And just as the Govidiots and the 77th Brigade etc. child rapist protectors , who blindly follow the official line, it can also be said of the Israeli mafia; their senior freemason cock suckers; and the dogsbody, minion cock suckers of the senior freemasons. They all really like to 'think' that their minds are free, but they are not. Not even a close-run thing.

Had a quick look at the comments to see if they're biased! They are! Learned a couple of phrases:

'Nose-pig'; someone whose mask doesn't cover their nose.

'Chinwarmer'; someone whose mask only covers their chin.

Militant bunch, aren't they?! I read the comments while seeing how long I could tolerate listening to James O'Brien on LBC debating whether Boris was wrong for going on a bike ride! I can be a sadistic bastard sometimes!

And breathe...

It's gonna get worse, they want people who tested positive to self isolate alone away from their family not in the same household , this was mentioned on Newsnight, looks like isolation camps will be set up as they won't use Hotels.

The only thing that is wrong here is people choosing to comply with this absolute nonsense.

Unfortunately a lot of people have to go to work, their employers won't (or can't) furlough them and the nature of their job means they can't work from home, so they are well and truly stuffed unless they 'comply'.  It is blackmail, pure and simple. Don't try and tell me this is for the good of the health of the nation, this is about control.

I want to see proper data.  I want to see where these cases are coming from, where the point of transmission is.  If they don't know, then they should find out.  I don't want to see 'next-slide-please' PowerPoints of increased traffic.  I want to see the data that our WorldBeatingTrackAndTrace system has provided.  I want to see the data which the Sage group are using to determine our level of freedom.

If this is a pandemic and all about our health, then there should be no danger to national security in being totally transparent.  Quite the opposite.  By keeping this data hidden, they are putting us at risk.

Edited to add - this is me in essence playing Devils Advocate.  The Government says there is a pandemic, so I want to see their data to prove this is more than the flu season.  Where is the transmission coming from?

That claim is absolute rubbish and proven by the official figures from PHE and NHS.

All cause mortality is hardly above where it was in previous years and that fact alone demolishes the argument that it is “3 times more deadly than flu.”

It isn’t.

Fake news from fake politicians who are fake intellectuals.

I suggest you go and do some research.
