The answer to all your questions is simple. State controlled media, just like they have in Russia, China and North Korea. Don't blame the presenters you see in front of the cameras. They are just reading from a script. the people who operate the cameras and sound equipment are also just as ignorant. Those at the top who are pals with the likes of Johnson and co are the ones preventing any proper journalism. They are all being controlled and ordered to do as they are told or face the consequences. Who is telling them what to do? Who knows, but they are being ordered to toe the line as well.
