My sister in law tested positive so now isolating. Of course she is making an issue of the usual symptoms, no taste or is it smell etc. Additionally she is researching the symptoms of long covid, really dreading that. I got the flu early last year after visiting my Mam in hospital. I was absolutely flattened, took a big effort just to get outta bed to goto the loo. I would have thought loss of taste /smell was the least of my worries with the way I felt that week. I wonder does it ever cross the mind of any of these so called covid victims that could it actually be the flu and not covid? Far too boring I would imagine

well viruses can damage your organs and even cause heart failure, lung damage etc.  so its not like covid is much worse just made into a new boogeyman.  people aren't really informed on how bad flu or a chest infection can get (death).

if anyone in the uk has kids at school

this is the new testing policy for secondary and soon primary schools

disgusting

there is a consent form but to be safe if you don’t want your kids going through this horror then let the school know in no uncertain terms.

mass testing means more “cases”.

looks good for the figures and continual lockdown bullshit

This year has definitely divided the west in to two groups, one that continues to believe the media and one group that will never believe the media ever again.

A little bit like this then..

Hope everyone had a merry xmas :)

See today they are saying everything over by Feb! Any truth to this? More mind games?

Yep, will all be over by the summer, businesses back up and running and the pandemic finished... just as long as you agree to take the vaccine and download the Common Pass app so you're allowed to do absolutely anything that makes life worthwhile.

Otherwise we might have to lock down again and it would be all your fault, you see. We couldn't be having that.

Yep, I just read it and yes I feel like I wanna puke......

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9090939/Millions-Britons-face-plunged-Tier-4-lockdown-week.html

1. Doctors in London said their hospitals resembled a 'war zone',

2. Paramedics in the capital are receiving almost 8,000 call-outs daily

3. Meanwhile NHS England warned that the entire health service will have to stay on its highest state of alert until at least the end of March

4. Some hospitals have even begun setting up makeshift

intensive care beds in paediatric and cancer wards.

It's about time we protest too much, methinks

I can see much civil unrest beginning!

1. How many of these doctors have seen an actual war zone?

2. How many of these calls are frivolous?

3. Ramping up the fear. The NHS knows full well that such a state of alert is unwarranted but it gives them licence to prioritize Covid over real life-threatening conditions.

4. Thus depriving seriously ill people of treatment, which saves money.

What's the likelihood of going on holiday next year? UK or abroad?

I know people don't know for sure but thoughts?

I've been this year. Three times to Spain. A lot of the restrictions were fear based not legal.  I intend to go back probably March time if not sooner. You might be better looking at an airbnb, rather than a hotel

Covid-19: Concern at 'unprecedented' infection level in England
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55462701

no need to touch the link - you know the tedious narrative within but such headlines were widely predicted for this week following a nearly 20% ramping up in testing last week compared to the previous 7 days . See the data .
Pathetic .

My sister lives in Menorca. She tells me that life is going on pretty much as normal there. It's a lovely place to go but I'll have to get my passport renewed. I'm told that it is not an easy thing to do these days.

Just been on Aagirfans Blog  https://aanirfan.blogspot.com/2020/

"Most Europeans won't get vaccinated

Support for getting vaccinated in Europe is dropping rapidly since October

In Bulgaria only 15% plan to take it

In Poland less than 40% plan to take it

In France only 41% plan to take it

In a very strongly government trusting places such as Sweden, still only 67% plan to take it

It seems (obviously) that vaccine uptake is not what the media is projecting.

Vaccine rejection is on the increase and long ago reached a tipping point!

Bear in mind that the accuracy of polls may aslo be manipulated and overstated!

I spent Christmas over at my dear mum and dad's house for Christmas, so I've been exposed to some of the TV that they watch.

I reiterate once again, the 'pandemic' only exists in the media, not in 'real life'.

The news broadcasts simply regurgitate 'numbers and figures' which look horrifying at first, but there is no further investigation as to what they 'all mean'.

'Cases' and 'deaths' figures with no context or deeper investigation. A new 'mutant strain' with no explanation of how this has been established.

I know this is all bollocks, but I really had to bite my lip and keep quiet because I already upset my mum when I told her in a passing conversation that I "wouldn't be queuing up to take the vaccine", she snapped and said to me that I should do so.

Holiday companies discretely urging people to book their holidays for next year, as if things will be just fine. I noticed that RyanAir were pretty fucking blatant about this, with their "jab and go" slogan. How underhand is that?

These holiday companies, tour and flight operators are all very keen to take your money, knowing full well what is in store in the near future, no 'jab', no flight, no holiday.

And the "Birds Of A Feather" Christmas special on ITV, I'm sorry but while it was admittedly humourous at times, it was also thinly veiled government propaganda, with regards to washing your hands and keeping your distance.

Basically anything recorded for TV in the last six months was painful to watch. How are contestants on something like 'Pointless' or any other TV quiz show meant to 'confer' with a bloody great plastic screen between them?

I did enjoy spending time with my mum and dad, but by jove, I'm almost glad to be back at home now, away from the 'normies'.

I did have one parting shot though, as my mum moaned about the quality of TV programming at Christmas, I did state "you always have a choice", with that choice being to turn off the TV and do something else instead.

I have family in Spain but need to plan around the school holidays. The flight prices absolutely take the piss.
