Good reply. The link can certainly be attributed to the wearing of masks, but so can the laziness associated with not cleaning them properly and/or using the same one over and over. Plus the more plausible directive is to wear them in close proximity enclosed spaces. The ones who wear them everywhere are taking it too far and any directive to do so should ensure clean masks are used each time. I hate the damn things.

l don't agree with them and have never worn one.
But....(big but)....(not butt)........if they have to be worn by some in certain situations there should be PROPER education in how to use them safely.....most idiots as you point out are not doing it safely.

Great observation, So conversely the ones not wearing them are all super informed, rebellious non-compliant world saving heroes.

Signed up an hour ago, what are you, 77th brigade?  You're not funny, and you come off like a massive shill, who's just trying to be 'reasonable'.  I see through your bullshit.

Even in the most obvious settings, their effectiveness is questionable:

"... we examined the evidence base behind the use of surgical facemasks. Examination of the literature revealed much of the published work on the matter to be quite dated and often studies had poorly elucidated methodologies. As a result, we recommend caution in extrapolating their findings to contemporary surgical practice. However, overall there is a lack of substantial evidence to support claims that facemasks protect either patient or surgeon from infectious contamination. More rigorous contemporary research is needed to make a definitive comment on the effectiveness of surgical facemasks." https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4480558/

Yes. I am 77th brigade and employed by shill.com. You are one of the smartest people I have come across and it's no surprise you can see through the bullshit. Well done, the game is up and I concede.

Perhaps if you spent enough time researching things that contradict your opinions you would be in the lofty position that most research undergraduates find themselves in. Look at it all data properly and not just the confirmation bias shite.

Worked in boat yards for over twenty years. Used face masks protection way more effective than Ppe. End result, every night cleaning out my nose and coughing up crap. Did courses with 3m, DuPont and awl grip amongst others on the effectiveness of different types of masks. Used masks that protect to major Micron levels. Ultimately got breathing problems anyway.

The ppe the public use generally  are just a new commodity to profit from.

They do a negligible amount of good. Far out doneby there psychological and physiological damage.

How are the pay rates and benefits in the Brigade? Just curious.

See, you write like a university twat, that clever clever way, so you probably are employed by other twats to come here and try to cause trouble.  Why are you here?  Just to prop up the establishment narrative while pretending to be curious about all sides of the argument?  Seen it all before.

Yeah, sound reasonable. However, we aren't talking about sub-microbial infections here. The sars-2 virus is quite a large microbe.

SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) by the numbers (nih.gov)

Works as designed.

I'd have more chance dying of a gently squeezed elevator fart, rather than this virus. So I'll take my chances. But I appreciate the concern. 😘

Thank you for your very concise and informed ad hominem response. It seems that you are afraid to have your beliefs questioned. I am here because somebody had the audacity to use my former screen name and I got the hump.

I've seen all your behaviour before too. You fail to address the content and target the poster. That is something that those who oppose your views do not do.

Not made from concern, just debating stuff for the hell of it. I'm pleased in your confidence in not being infected and hope that you never catch this "whatever" thing. I know people who have and they don't share your confidence. It wasn't the flu.

Hey, how come you avoided my response? Did you even read that article, or is it just ones that work for your claims?
