The mask manufacturers are raking it in, especially with the disposable masks that are really only good for a couple of hours before they need to be replaced. Even some of the reusable 'washable' masks are only apparently designed to last 30 to 50 washes. I convinced myself that this 90 year old lady is a crisis actor, and this whole story is just 'theatre' for the media. Its difficult to judge the age of the 'daughter' and 'grandson' because they're both wearing face coverings (how convenient), but I agree it does look odd. As I've said here before, the company I work for sells on eBay, and we used to get numerous 'spam' emails from multitudes of Chinese manufacturers offering us products. Just as the Chinese were coming out of their own lockdown earlier this year, we started getting loads of these junk mails from several Chinese factories offering these disposable non-surgical masks that are now ubiquitous. Hindsight is a wonderful thing; instead of binning them all, I wish I'd kept a few for 'future posterity' so you could all understand how little these cost, and just how quick and ready these Chinese companies were to start mass producing them. Some of the wording used was quite interesting to read, but I can't remember specific details now, though it did raise suspicions of how long this was all going to last and gave me an idea of what was to be expected in the near future... My take, which is very different to others in here, is that the vaccine should not be public enemy no. 1. The vaccine is the one thing that is going to put a stop to this in the near future. I know about problem reaction solution. Don't think it applies here. The theories about what the plan is for this vaccine just don't hold up to scrutiny. The trials were done and now around 350,000 people have had take it. When do you expect the adverse reactions to start? (by adverse reactions I mean anything above the statistically norm). After 1 million? 5 million? There will be no significant adverse reactions. Next couple of months will be tough. And we need to look after our mental health. Obsessing over evil vaccines isn't going to help you and you will see in 3-4 months, the anxiety was not warranted. Get outside, take up a hobby, call a friend. Stay safe.
