So they've got the king coming out now saying they have "failed" and calling for a lockdown. All after the cases and deaths charts mysteriously changed to show a huge spike in cases and deaths. Still yet to see an explanation for that

Hmm.. it feels to me this was done deliberately.

To have a country do things differently and then to show the world how bad not locking down and being strict on their restrictions was etc. Making people appreciate their lockdown even more.

The article states that Finland and Norway have higher immunity due to the restrictions etc..

But I thought that would have lowered the immunity to it? Am I missing something as I find this very confusing.

I guess they felt that those who supported Sweden for not following the rest would have their minds changed now.

A way to brainwash the anti-lockdown crowd.

However, what they don't realise is that the majority of us can see through this crap :D

Absolutely it was done deliberately. Always found it bizarre that Sweden, home of Greta and the most EU/UN friendly nation in Europe in most senses, was the one not to lock down. Only the stats did not show that the strategy had "failed" but that they were one of the least affected in Europe, until the narrative changed suddenly and they doctored all the graphs. I'm surprised nobody's really talking about this, I'd like to know what the hell is going on.

Missed the bit about lockdowns in Norway and Finland giving higher immunity... I think we have to work on the basis that logic in the media has gone 100% out the window at this point. I'm expecting the next advice to be wear your underpants on your head and put a pair of sticks up your nose like Blackadder. Not even joking.

'Prince' Charles flagging he won't take the mRNA vaccine. At 72 he's absolutely in line for the Pfizer jab but says he's in line for the more normal chimp cold non mRNA vaccine developed by Oxford and Astra Zeneca

'

The Prince of Wales told staff administering the Covid-19 vaccination that he was "way down the list" for his own injection and would have to wait.

Prince Charles made the comments as he visited a vaccination centre at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Gloucester with the Duchess of Cornwall. The pair were there to meet with front line health workers administering and receiving the Pfizer vaccine.

Charles told staff: "I think I am way down the list and will have to wait."

He added: "I think I'll have to wait for the AstraZeneca one before it gets to my turn. I'm some way down the list."

Not ‘forced’ but ‘compulsory’? Brazil’s Supreme Court paves way for SANCTIONS for refusing Covid-19 jab

18 Dec, 2020 03:53

Brazil’s top court has ruled that citizens can be legally “required” to take a coronavirus vaccine, laying the ground for “sanctions” for those who refuse the jab, despite vehement objections from President Jair Bolsonaro.

The Federal Supreme Court (STF) ruled 10-1 on Thursday that governments at all levels may set out penalties for anyone who declines to take a vaccine, allowing them to bar citizens from certain public places, among other measures. While Justice Ricardo Lewandowski noted in his majority opinion that “forced” immunizations would be unconstitutional, he said local, state and federal officials could impose restrictions on the unvaccinated.

“Each Brazilian will have the obligation to be vaccinated, which does not mean that they may be forced to take the vaccine,” said Justice Alexandre de Moraes.

Compulsory does not mean that. Compulsory means that any non-compliance will lead to a sanction.

The court also determined in a separate case on Thursday that parents are required to vaccinate their children, rejecting an appeal that argued for exemptions based on philosophical, religious or moral convictions.

While Bolsonaro has pledged to make the coronavirus vaccine available to the public once Brazilian regulators give a green light to one of the inoculations under consideration, he has vocally rejected the mandatory vaccination drive, suggesting citizens could be placed under “house arrest” for turning down the jab, among other restrictions.

“Nobody can force anybody to take the vaccine. We’re dealing with lives, where is our freedom?” he said following the court’s decision, later adding: “What did [the court] decide? If you do not get a vaccine, I, the president of the republic, governors, mayors can impose restrictive measures on you.”

You can't get a passport, you can't get a driver's license. You can be put under house arrest, look how beautiful it is. House arrest.

The president also insisted he would not be vaccinated himself, arguing that he already has immunity to the virus after contracting it earlier this year, while also pointing to potential adverse side effects and the lack of legal liability for vaccine developers.

“There in the Pfizer contract, it is quite clear that they are not responsible for any side effects. If you become an alligator, it's your problem,” he said. “What is worse is tampering with people's immune systems.”

With no vaccine currently approved in the country, Brazilian authorities have yet to set a date for a mass roll-out. The most recent government vaccination plan, published last week, was met with skepticism after it suggested less than a quarter of the country’s population of 210 million would receive doses on the initial immunization drive. However, with recent polling suggesting that some 22 percent of Brazilians are opposed to taking the vaccine, it’s unclear how many skeptics would follow the president’s lead and outright refuse the jab, thereby risking the penalties authorized by Thursday’s court ruling.

Back in March I remember the "experts" saying that alcohol killed the virus, which is why Asian countries were more susceptible to it. If 2020 has taught anything it is that "experts" are wrong pretty much all the time about everything.

CMO Dr Tony Holohan said that irrespective of setting, we have a challenge with alcohol in this country and that it’s really difficult for people to maintain public health guidelines when it’s mixed with drinking.

Thus, Dr Holohan and Nphet have recommended to the government that from December 28 gastropubs and restaurants should close.

Dear Ms Foxcunt,

Judging from your response you are suggesting that if the Tory Party had listened to Labour back in September and enforced harsher restrictions, we would now be back to a state of normality.

You don't believe the Three Tiet system will have that effect and say infections continue spiralling, making a National Lockdown inevitable. What do you a propose, a Four, Five or Six Tier system?

You pin your hopes on a new and experimental vaccine, rushed through in record time without thorough clinical testing and safeguards. Is it any wonder people would be 'hesitant' or simply refuse?

The cure could turn out to be worse than the 'virus' which has a 99.8% recovery rate and mild symptoms, or none. These seem to be extreme measures to take for no logical or valid reason.

Yours Truly
