There's so many agendas at play, it's hard to know the reasons behind everything.  I'm sure the shaming of China has world social/political implications, but it also gives validity to the fake story that a new deadly Corona virus started in China and spread out of control because China is corrupt.  Something must be real if you have someone to blame it on, right?

I saw a piece yesterday that describes how in 2017 the Canadian govt signed an agreement with China that it can deploy its own troops on Canadian soil to protect its financial assets and it doesnt have to notify or work with local.law enforcement 

 

So yeh I think unless things take a drastic turn we can look forward to some hong kong phooey

Yes, same supermarket I usually shop in.  First time with no queues.  The person in front of me actually hesitated at the door and asked a man in hi-viz if it was okay to go in.  FFS.

But yeah, you make a good point about seeing the same faces.  My cousin works at another supermarket (a very well known one in the UK) and there haven't been any cases/sick leave, nothing in the last 9 weeks.  They are taking on staff in fact.  And they deal with the mask-wearing public every day.  You'd expect at least one to want to take a mental health day and rest a little.  But seriously, no, no covid.  Infact, she's a chronic smoker and jokes about her cough with the people she is cashing groceries for.  Some see the funny side.  Some do not.
