Dear all, We have been asked as a Care Group to develop a vaccination rota of volunteer staff to administer the vaccine. The rota is expected to be a mixture of clinical and non-clinical workforce, and training will be provided for all staff who volunteer. The rota has to be cost neutral for the department, so we will be expected to deliver within our establishment. Any staff who would like to volunteer should have clearance from their line manager that they are supportive and can be released for this. There will be designated vaccination hubs across both Denmark Hill and PRUH sites – we are still waiting for confirmation of these hub bases, it is assumed Unit 2 will be the hub for Denmark Hill. The request is for the Radiology Care Group to cover 48hrs per week over an 8 week period. We are suggesting a minimum of a 4-hour shift in the first instance, so rostering is more manageable across the department. We have also assumed our week 1 will start on Monday the 14th of December. **** and ***** will coordinate the rota centrally for the Radiology Care Group, so please can you email them both with the hours you can cover over the next 8 weeks. ****@nhs.net or ****@nhs.net **** is away this week, but has requested we develop this rota to be developed in her absence. Not just experimental procedures. Any medical procedure or therapy that you don't want to participate in, you have the full, free, and unprejudiced right to refuse. Period. Go back and read Article 6, Sections 1 and 3, of the Nuremberg Code for yourselves. Don't take anyone else's word for it. Not even mine. Be sure. And make good use of the information if anyone comes to your door with a needle in hand. I forget what happens in each tier, although, it doesn't bother me, I ignore the 'guidelines' anyway and do as I please, which fortunately doesn't invole the hospitality industry.
