This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

I wonder what idiots will be first in line, it gives a whole new meaning to 'roll up,' roll up'  roll up your sleeve and get your jab.... To all these idiots who roll up 'Have yourselves a Jabba Jabba Doo Da Day'

Do you want the good news first or the bad?

 roll-out starting tomorrow

Fears that people would miss out in the first wave of immunisation because of short supplies were raised last week after the Government announced just 800,000 doses of the Pfizer jab had been sent to the UK. But NHS bosses looked to quash concerns yesterday, with Saffron Cordery, the deputy CEO of NHS Providers, assuring the public that the country was expecting 'up to four million doses' by the end of December. It came as masked pharmacy technicians Croydon University Hospital in Croydon, London took delivery of the first shipment of the breakthrough Pfizer /BioNTech Covid-19 jab over the weekend. Vaccinations will be administered at dozens of hospital hubs from Tuesday.

have you ever spoken to a season ticket holder and how they organise their life around matchday?

weddings, christenings, birthdays, holidays .. all get 2nd place to going to the match

they will walk through decontamination booths, wear face coverings all match, not shout, stand up, sit down, genuflect at the start and when going to their pew ... in the new church of covid

Very sad. But can't argue with you there. You make a good point.

Most of them are close to karking it anyway....but then again thats the target audience isnt  it ?80+ down to 50.....do they really think that heroes of peoples youths is going to make them take a vaxxine ...they really are clutching at straws now

If they want to convince a younger demographic, they will need to recruit Stormzy, Adele and Ed Sheeran as vaccinators.

"Today’s Emergency Use Authorization in the U.K. marks a historic moment in the fight against COVID-19. This authorization is a goal we have been working toward since we first declared that science will win, and we applaud the MHRA for their ability to conduct a careful assessment and take timely action to help protect the people of the U.K."

Croydon University Hospital used to be called Mayday Hospital, colloquially known as 'May-Die Hospital'. After poor patient experiences over many years they had to change the name as their reputation got so bad.

lndeed...as a fellow Sarf Lunduner, l'll second this.

Interesting that Croydon University Hospital hospital was the first 'UK hub to unpack and store the Pfizer vaccine'.

St Georges in south west London has been given a large delivery too.

It's a large university hospital and very inefficient.
This hospital is badly managed and always way, way over it's 'budget' year after year after year...
