I've had a blood transfusion and wasn't told until after the fact. The nurse just casually mentioned that I'd had one while I was in CCU. No religious exemptions were considered. Although I probably needed it I was still fuming. This was years ago. I had myocarditis before it was fashionable! The problem I've got now is I've exhausted all the treatments for the heart damage I sustained and am being lined up for a heart transplant, it's not definite that I'll have one, but I'm set to get 'acquainted' with the transplant team.
