Smashed a bag of 'Es' took dancing lessons by watching old rave video's from venues i frequented but minus the disco ball and DJ, well, he may well have the music inside his head, which is a bit weird for everyone else not tuned in and dropped out, gone totally radio rental that one has, 🤣

Tripping balls means he’s off his head on some drug or another. Gurning is an old English pastime where men would compete to screw their faces up to make the most grotesque image.
Mitsubishi were a strong mdma ecstasy pill popular in discotheques from the mid 90s to early 00s.
Im unsure of their current availability and would not condone taking illegal drugs

I have made no secret of my more freely lived life, sigh,

Helter Skelter World Dance DJ Hype Ellis Dee? I know you’re sort! Good fella!
Feeling a genuine connection to everyone in a club would have been impossible without it. For a few hours on a few nights of a month, it was real, and nothing can change that.
I’ve been on the outskirts of many music scenes since the mid 90s, and just like Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters, we almost had it, on the verge of breaking through, but cold hard reality is too strong a force to ignore.
Just a distant memory now, but the love is still there, waiting to bubble over, obliterating all this bullshit

Rave culture and psychedelics served their purpose. Traditional values have already been eroded now, so maybe that's why you feel like it's dying out. We shouldn't need J music industry bs and drugs to feel love for our kinfolk. And we definitely shouldn't let them use our love and altruism against us.

I say that as an ex raver myself, but I was more into Jungle and DnB until I grew out of that repetitive asphalt culture scene.

Yeah... I know.   I walked past you and chatted when you asked for a cigarette on the way to that cafe you wasn't sure existed or not at 5 on a summer morning in 97 ..remember?

The shaman ... Rave pop... so bad they were good, those e's were bloody expensive back in the day as I seem to remember, probably another mk ultra/MI5 job done on the people in the late 80's all the way through the 90's.
No covid bullshit to worry about then eh?.....  (knew something was up - but no covid)

Check out me and cockmuppets and morphs old school rave tunes on the (now, sadly dying a non covid related death) electronic music thread.
Here:   and maybe add a few more if you want to .

For me it started with house music, then d+b, then breaks, then indie and rock, then back to house, then a weird mash of all those genres, never really one scene, I treated it like it was all one thing. The house music culture was what opened me up to what was possible with love and understanding. I still feel it to this day, with a tear in my eye.
