On the flight on a 747, I went up to the galley to grab a drink and overheard a snippet of conversation between two flight attendants. They were talking about the number of sex tourists in board and how they could spot them. I asked them and they said that they've flown out with single older men, and on the return trip, they were sitting with young Thai girls. That was in 1990 so I'm guessing it's worse now. Once out of Bangkok, you could head south towards Krabi and find yourself in total isolation on a beach.
