Thanks - there is always a remnant. I remember posting the video of the Polish pastor in Canada during the first lockdown as he repeatedly told a load of police (who turned up at his church) to get out.

 

Another pastor called John MacArthur, who I generally avoid, kept his church open and gave Scriptural reasoning as his foundation for doing so. He's one of the heroes (I don't like him) amongst my former church and I just know that would have mangled their brains. I simply gave credit where it was due.

 

To hear pastors still rattling on about covid (erroneously so) and using that error in sermons makes me angry. As the lady I mentioned who shouted out "No!" said, we are not going to take any more shite and shall vote with our feet.

Yes, my vertical relationship with God is of far more importance than any horizontal relationship with people. The latter should flow out of the former, particularly where meeting together is concerned, yet I see people without the former and instead practising a powerless form of religion.

 

Though we are exhorted to meet together, to worship together, to encourage each other, to pray, to minister the gifts and above all to love each other, we also have a picture given to us of an end times huge, false entity that we are to come out of.

 

The last day or so has taught me to try and find like-minded Christians who I can fellowship with when the doors are inevitably closed again. Had I not even ventured back into a church building, I wouldn't already know three of them. The lady who is on the same page as me said (the first half hour we had met) that God is bringing certain people together in readiness for the next round of shite. I am inclined to believe her.

 

I can see the internet being taken from us soon, so as to remove some of the strength and encouragement that many get from their only form of 'community'.

Is the russia / ukraine scam coming to an end???

 

Ukraine forces are claiming they have pushed russian forces back to their border. It is not clear how many troops had reached the Russian border and where, and air raid sirens were still being sounded in Kharkiv.

 

 

The Kyiv Independent tweeted: “Alright, people, we have the first Ukrainian unit coming up to the Russian border as part of the counter offensive action northeast of Kharkiv.”

 

Ukraine’s Ambassador to Austria tweeted a video clip which appeared to show Ukrainian forces having advanced to the border with Russia.

It messaged: ““Mr. President, we reached Ukraine’s state border with the enemy state. Mr. President, we made it!”
