She cited me as her legal guardian when she arrived and that has been overruled too. This is causing my stress levels to go through the roof. I have never known a situation where someone goes in to be treated, gets the all clear but is still not allowed to leave. She was crying tonight down the phone and it was most distressing. She told me that there is nothing to do all day. She has been asking for something to read yet they have provided no books, papers or magazines. There is no one to talk with. She told me it was "unfathomable cruelty." "They want me gone" is what she said. It's heart-breaking. Is your mum in the UK? If you are the eldest child...under the Mental health Act you are considered the `nearest relative` and they have to discuss with you if they render her unable to pass any mental capacity test. I`m pretty sure youre mother can walk out if she is not longer showing as testing positive with their bogus test. Are they stopping her from walking from the ward? Take note of a womens toilet not far from the ward. Can you take her a change of clothes and have her walk out? Even if you keep the clothes hidden with you until she is away from the ward, take her to change in the toilet and leave. Im pretty sure they cannot just stop people leaving. Is there something else that you havent mentioned...like has she ever been sectioned? I ask this as my sister had my mother sectioned before she died (she was also compos mentis) and the state stepped in like the Gestapo. That was in the UK. Short of calling the A-team or the equaliser, as this does sound like a hostage situation, I would recomend maybe getting legal advise. otherwise absolutely do as Beaujangles suggested and demand a meeting, as this is utterly abhorrent what they are doing to you and your mam. You may need to just be forceful and not accept anything less than 'she's coming home', brush up on the legals of this particular situation before you go, I'm sure someone here will know the specifics. Have they managed to jab her yet, it could be they are holding out for this? It seems madness to me that the sheep spent weeks clapping for these brainwashed twats, when really they are vaguely sentient, and do whatever their paymasters suggest.Shithouses. Best of luck man. It's a bit difficult as you have not been in the building and don't know where the correct location of toilet is... Is she allowed to go to a cafe in a hospital?
