However, Talk Sport is very much the most rabid when it comes to attacking truth and truthers. The channel is like the Sun of the radio world, appealing very much to what they would describe as white van man and often the only place where drink sozzled presenters and sacked presenters from other radio stations (or even BBC and SKY television) can get a gig. That leads me to believe that because it is the last chance saloon for many a career, they are forced to tell the most blatant lies and to be aggressive about it. That lying bastard yesterday has somehow managed to separate himself from the lie - like an actor - as if he knows he is repeating a lie but it's just his job and not really him. I went to something like 600-800 Wolves games and visited over 80 league grounds in my time as a supporter. When there was any kind of disturbance in a seated section of any ground it would be obvious. The faces of people (generally white) would disappear and the backs of people would show up as a dark area at any distance. This would be followed by hooligan songs and then the police would wade in, usually because away supporters had given themselves away in a home section. Once we hit the 90's with all seater stadiums, CCTV and banning orders, those incidents of violence in the ground became almost non existent. ANY kind of 'medical emergency' would have been seen by everybody in the ground in the same way as violence would be seen - people turning around and white faces disappearing. Yet that hardly ever happened. I saw ONE genuine medical emergency in three decades of watching live football, which was an elderly gentleman collapsing and dying. It hardly ever happened until the jabs went mainstream and then BANG! - it is happening every weekend or midweek evening where there are a lot of games being played. Three or four times yesterday. Yet it was used as an opportunity to ATTACK anybody who dares to think it is highly unusual. As for white van man, I think he is more likely to be one of us than your average Radio 4 listener from the Home Counties. It would not surprise me if there is a medical emergency at Derby or Cardiff today, yet the chances of somebody having an episode during the 120 minutes they are in a football ground as opposed to the 10,000 minutes in the rest of the week are one in eighty for any one individual. Yet that idiot yesterday would say that there are 45,000 in the grounds and therefore the odds are highly in favour of a medical emergency. Indeed, he would declare it as an absolute certainty. I would say it is almost a certainty not because of dodgy maths but because of dodgy injections. Out of likes. I echo all of what you say....I was going to games from 1958 until 2000. I starting going to see West Ham United since the age of 8 years old until my early 20s. The only injuries I saw were from hooligans. It's not over but the support in the live chat was very great to see. Someone in this same chat said"PM Trudeau apparently Isolating Himself in the fear of catching a new emerging and highly contagious shot of unity call convoy-22". A lot of jokes about maple syrup in IV's and those kind of gags From people around the worlds was filling the live chat as well. Thank UK who paved the road for this convoy-22. I just listen to the game - as I did Derby v Blues this afternoon - but turn it off before and after. Though yesterday the propaganda was being spoken during the bloody game. I did not bother with the second half after that. As for the rest of the time, I am at the whim of whoever is driving the works vehicle (I don't drive). I think they listen to Capital FM or something and it is torture as there are Covid adverts a number of times per hour. It gives me an opportunity to counter their lies but nobody listens to me so I don't even bother at work any longer. Most are triple jabbed even after 'agreeing' with me for a whole year. Now that I am separated from the wife, the absence of a television is absolute bliss. Perhaps the radio will follow when I finally give up even listening to games out of boredom/habit. When asked who they were and who said that could do this, they showed their badges and said the security manager had told them to do this on behalf of the NHS. They said they were asking patients if they'd been vaccinated to stop the flow of, you know, the virus. They have no way of identifying who are patients and who are staff since staff have been arriving and leaving in their own clothes for a long time now. They don't know who would telling the truth to say YES. They said if somebody says no, they're asking them to go back to the front of the hospital and have a lateral flow test. Nowhere on the NHS intranet/website says anything about this being put in place. I know the NHS have their own policies but so does every other organisation, that doesn't make them above the law. Seems pretty sneaky, underhand and shitty especially since these security staff don't look like security staff and they're wearing their ID's strapped on their arms. Most people are instantly recognisable with their ID's worn round their neck or clipped on. You can't see these on their arms, it's not a place you'd look or expect them to be. We usually only got the 2nd half but it was purely commentary and none of the extraneous crap that passes for commentary these days. Commentators did their job.
