I get the argument you're making. And it does have some validity.

 

However, my concern is that it can lead to self censorship. The fear what others may think. Oh, my argument may not be taken seriously if I mention this or that.

 

And because of trail blazers like David Icke it does become easier for us to make arguments that aren't on the fringe.

 

For example, if the JFK shooting was the only conspiracy theory game in town then that would be the embarrassing place to go. But now the reaction is "Oh well, at least you're not saying the Queen's a lizard. Yeah of course Oswald didn't do it."

There are definitely the numbers to stretch resources but the powers have since turned football forums into something akin to mumsnet. I was encouraged by that Lee Gunner chap that Fluke highlighted but I see how he cannot say too much because his channel would be gone in a heart beat.
