This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

school meals is all about profit now with many private catering companies taking over.

Yes the food is a bit more interesting and a lot more choice however there is a lot of junk they make.

Cakes, Muffins, doughnuts etc are very much part of it.

I used to work in a school kitchen and kids would spend so much money on the junk- all cashless too

In the 90's I worked kitchen for a posh private school, the difference in food quality was not surprising compared to a state school.

Proper food, qualified chefs.

The amount of theft that went on was a shocker, one guy would walk out with carrier bags full of frozen meat nearly every day.

What? you mean people who don't wear Masks will be carried off to Concentration Camps?

No of course not but who knows what they are doing. One thing is for sure those who don't wear masks are the reason why it is still going on.

Wouldn't happen now- i had to count every chip, pea and straw for a weekly stocktake.

I think this free school meal business is however to usher in to monitor peoples spending on food etc.

All part of The Great Reset

The state became the husband role in many families. imho.

The govt will just award any 'free school meals' contracts to their buddies like always happens.

We had huge tubs of dried apricots, a big store room full of food, never eaten so well in my life, the chefs liked me & gave me a decent meal or three every day.

The Great Barrington Declaration:
An interesting little snippet from the Specatator, regarding the Barrington Declaration, and that apparently the WHO have now done a U-turn on lockdowns and their effectiveness, Proffessor DAvid Nabarro a spokesperson for the WHo said
"we at the 'world health organisation' do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of controlling the virus"

Also how when Professor Gupta appeared recently on BBC news, she was advised by a producer not to talk about the declaration during her interview - she ignored the instructions, but 'who' did it come from?

From me:   what's all this shite about the WHO being 'the most respectable public health authority in the world' statement?   They're a bunch of jackoffs - even the leader is a known terrorist.  Jeez?

That is a common circular logic excuse that I am hearing doing the rounds.

"You have to wear a mask because you are not wearing a mask" - That doesn't make any sense.

If mask's actually worked then people who are not wearing a mask would pose no risk to people that are wearing masks. If mask's worked then there would be no need to close shops either.

https://thefederalist.com/2020/10/12/cdc-study-finds-overwhelming-majority-of-people-getting-coronavirus-wore-masks/

This could be explained by the fact that people wearing masks are more likely to get tested because they are the ones that are believing the lies and are living in fear. While people who do not wear masks are probably less likely to get tested. As the tests are a fraud 100% false positive rate, when a mask wearer gets a test they are more likely to show in the test results in general.

If you want protection from viruses, cheapo Chinese masks are never going to do the job.  How comes we (civilians) have not been issued with respirators by now, like in WW2?   Most people are wearing muzzles, gelling up and going out a lot less, but still the figures are going up.  Strange that Bill Gates predicted a bigger second wave 6 months ago. Even if everyone walked about in deep sea diving suits they would still be in or facing a COVID lockdown.  COVID is only the cover story to get society to where they want it.  Without the 80% furlough bribe to stay at home, people would have gone to work as normal in April, May, June etc. and there would have not been anything different than the same months in 2019.  For example, 8 to 9 million people live in London in accomadation cheek by jowl, yet no mass deaths.

Sounds about right - Masks accumulate expelled bacteria, moulds, fungi and exosomes. Intended to be expelled.

People build up toxic load due to reduced expulsion and reinfect themselves.

Induced hypoxia and hypercapnia exacerbates reinfection if suscepable.

Link  - many other conditions including reduction in T-cell function.

Denmark Rushes Through Emergency Coronavirus Law

Published on October 27, 2020

Denmark’s parliament on Thursday night unanimously passed an emergency coronavirus law which gives health authorities powers to force testing, treatment and quarantine with the backing of the police. The far-reaching new law will remain in force until March 2021, when it will expire under a sunset clause.  Which countries will be next?

“I was touched when I saw the whole Parliament standing up and voting for this,” Health Minister Magnus Heunicke told Danish state broadcaster DR after the law passed.

“It is time to put aside party politics and be together to do what it takes to bring Denmark safely through this situation.”

Jens Elo Rytter, law professor at Copenhagen University, said the measures were unlike anything passed in the last 75 years  “It is certainly the most extreme since the Second World War,” he told the Jyllands-Posten newspaper. “There have been some powerful encroachments in various terror packages. But this goes further.”

Trine Maria Ilsøe, DR’s court correspondent, said that Danish citizens could face prosecution under the new law if they refused to comply with health authorities’ demands. “It means that you could be sentenced to a punishment if you, for example, refuse to allow yourself to be tested for coronavirus,” she said.

The Ministry of Health will now work with the Ministry of Justice on the details of how the police will work with health officials to enforce their demands.

As well as enforcing quarantine measures, the law also allows the authorities to force people to be vaccinated, even though there is currently no vaccination for the virus.

It also empowers them to prohibit access to public institutions, supermarkets and shops, public and private nursing homes and hospitals, and also to impose restrictions on access to public transport.

Initially, the government wanted to the law to give the police the right to enter private homes without a court order if there is a suspicion of coronavirus infection. But this was dropped after opposition from parties in the parliament.

The parliamentary session was itself affected by the pandemic, with only 95 out of 179 MPs present for the vote, efforts made to ensure that MPs kept a safe distance from one another, and MPs voting by standing up.

My grandad lived off those, while the rich were drinking champagne and snorting cocaine he was eating what looked like dogfood...

But he loved the Queen; silly old sod that he was.

Ahhhhh? .... the thought police are trying to bully us into 'how much or how large' a meal should be when you are having a pint or 3 down the pub, The police - sensibly for once - are having none of it:

Well it used to all be done in-house under the local council so profit was not the motivation. And used to be much better like British Rail and British Telecom.
