Very much agree, jobs for the boys. Over here in my neck of the woods the council purchased a run down row of old small cabin type shops, very much run down and dilapidated, claming it had paid the owner £200 million for the shops. Looking at the state of the shops the whole row is worth about £1 million, at the very most, and that is being generous, very generous . So £1 million paid for the shops, the £199 million will probably into the bank accounts and pockets of the council. Now the council are saying they are going to charge the taxpayer another £200 million to refurbish the shops - the scam never ends. The next time your council tax bill goes up, you know who to blame. The way i see it, the care home residents worked all their lives, paid their taxes, and paid into their pension fund, now they have a right to that pension.
