Message added by Grumpy Owl,

This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

Dunno if this was mentioned yet haven't caught up but I was surprised to see Max Igan as todays guest on Richie Allen, and since it's both the Richie show I always listen to plus I have a bad feeling - because I know I shouldn't really judge anyone without the whole facts and I didn't listen to his last vid after all, I'm giving him at least one more listen. Maybe someone else might like to.

Oh and sorry if that's not enough on topic 😊

Another site I go on in the UK to discuss football is JA606.

Sometimes though the topic is about the covid 19 "vaccines"

I do not contribute because as you will see from an unbelievably ignorant and ill informed reply 99% of the contributers to this topic are brainwashed sheep.

This is a typical opinion of someone who dislikes critical thinking souls such as us who don't wish to have a load of poison injected into them. I should add that out of 170 plus of replies about 6 are critical thinkers which the rest set upon like a pack of rabid dogs.

The people who protest against vaccines are often the same ones that protest against masks and lockdowns. They just can't get it into their heads that simply ignoring a pandemic was never going to work. If you don't have widespread vaccination, you will likely end up in a cycle of rising cases, unsustainable hospital numbers, and then restrictions/lockdowns to bring the numbers back down again. Because they don't like this reality (who does?), they have to undermine and/or politicise it. It is an infantile response.

The "unsustainable hospital numbers" bit just gets overlooked. It really doesn't matter all that much if Covid has a 99.97 survival rate (or whatever the latest number is), or if you, your wife, your kids, all their mates, all their teachers and all their dogs caught it and were fine. Good for them - genuinely. But those people who are not fine are ending up in hospital, often staying there for weeks before dying or being released, perhaps with long Covid. And that's on top of every thing else hospitals have to deal with.

If you live in this country, YOU are dependent on our underfunded and overstretched health service. So even if you don't want to be jabbed, the life you enjoy so much will continue to be affected by restrictions until enough people do get themselves vaccinated for there to be a decent enough wall of protection. It will take time and it's not a pleasant situation. As far as I can see, the adults are facing up to it and getting on with things, while the brats are whining, spouting conspiracy nonsense and engaging in ridiculous point-scoring every time they get the merest glimpes of vaccine "failure".

And as for "boot-licking", I can't stand the lying charlatans who run this country. But you know what? Vaccines, like viruses, are not political.

Like I said this is the thinking of 99% of football fans on this particular forum and is a sad example how the masses have been brainwashed and taken in hook line and sinker.

Some years ago I used to expose Ponzi/Pyramid schemes. Someone tried to get me involved in a 'scheme' and I found a community who exposes the like. Even when a Ponzi scheme has been exposed, the people running it have had their day in court, been sentenced and are sitting in prison the cheerleaders who claim the 'scheme' was genuine would often say that there's been an injustice. How the scheme that promised untold wealth was real and that the people who exposed the scam were jealous haters. I never thought the day would come where the same psychology would happen on a global scale.

Yes it is like dealing with people in a parallel universe that even when you list all the ref flags about the scamdemic they just won't budge from their original mindset that they are right and we are all loons.

I wish there was some single remark to these sheep that would act like a checkmate move in chess and would finally floor them and wake them up once and for all but then they would have the uncomfortable realisation that they have poisoned themselves and that their child bearing chances are over and their days are more than likely numbered.... Maybe on second thoughts blissful ignorance is more preferable for them.

Yep. These are the silly wankers that Orwell spoke of:

So long as they (the Proles) continued to work and breed, their other activities were without importance. Left to themselves, like cattle turned loose upon the plains of Argentina, they had reverted to a style of life that appeared to be natural to them, a sort of ancestral pattern...Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult.

I have to say I feel pretty much the same about Max Igan. Watching his latest video from Mexico it seems he has let fear dictate. All his 'explanations' just sounded like a guy who knows he has given into fear trying to justify it cognitively. Yes, we all have to act on our instincts and do what is right for us, but it does seem like he got the wobblies.

I’m  out of reactions; I don’t know what his reasoning is; but whatever, he’s still a rat imo.

Greenville, South Carolina👍

Major Greenville County employers like General Electric and Lockheed Martin have started requiring employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19 to comply with the federal mandate, but some employees have said that they are against that. And they've taken to the streets.

There probably is a way to snap them out if a spell. But a lot have to want to face the truth. Most will become angry and some even violent.

Like leaving a cult and realising that you were not only deceived but you went out and deceived others - including your own kids.

Some will come after the unvaccinated because we didn't make a big enough effort to tell them the truth.

My work colleagues will be livid with me. I have told them time and again, warned them, pleaded with them as they have laughed in my face. They will be livid, nevertheless, because they'll have expected me (retrospectively) to have tried much harder.

It will be my fault. My family and my ex fellowship will also blame me.

"Why didn't you smash our doors down and shout louder?"

The blame game will visit us all.

@Saved You must work with some seriously whacked-out people. I think that the jabbed will be too sick and debilitated to think about going after the unvaxxed, but you never know. I've been called the usual names, but nobody has actually got in my face about me not having the clot shot.

I do indeed work with a lot of weirdos and dysfunctional people. Some are my superiors and will have me down as a potential thorn/danger whenever they make the jab compulsory in our workplace.

The most difficult thing in all of this has been the people who were on the same page in the beginning but gradually (and secretly) lost heart. Out of the blue they were boasting of having their second jab.

Seriously, given the conversations we had last Spring and summer, it would be like Simon TV or Ziggy just popping up in this thread tomorrow and boasting that they've had their first booster jab. I was without words.

Crikey I didn't even think of that possibility. It really is effed up but even so I still can't help but want some undeniable proof or mega whistleblower to wipe that aire of superiority off their smug faces and I want it to happen now or at least very soon.

I have regular daydreams that involve absolute irrefutable proof presenting itself to them - but then I snap out of it because they would just deny it.

They are under a spell.

Had the same thoughts a while back. Best i could come up with then was asking them something like, "if it weren't for the tv/media, would you still believe there was a pandemic?" I doubt many could actually imagine a reality without the tv though. Probably blow their mind to do so.
