If that happened to one of them it may well mean all those magnificent old buildings could be significantly compromised structurally... especially coz a quake that big will mean heaps of aftershocks weakening them further.... all the old brick buildings and fences throughout Melbs may well be a little buggered in some places... Makes me wonder how many people hurling abuse at the tradies from the cofmrt of their internet will be calling a few out over the next few days as the extend of the damage is discovered.
