I have heard the 364 figure, but then the ONS chart shows a different story & flu has killed more people than covid this year, so not sure what is true. I looked at the flu stats a few months ago & it claimed nobody had died of the flu upto the month of May. This was from the uk.gov website. SimonTV Posted October 11, 2020 Share Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) The death statistics a bollocks. I added up the total deaths in January 2018 in May and they added up to 60000, 15k per month. I then added up the April deaths and they were also 60k. So I made a series of posts about how the April death statistics was not much greater than the April 2020 death statistics. Now they have updated both 2018 statistics and 2020 statistics and not 2019 statistics with a new filename called "withaddedrespirotyrow" this is row not row as in argument. I had to confirm that myself. So for some reason they saw it fit to go back and modify the death statistics of 2018 but not 2019. Interestingly the January 2018 statistics are now showing less than 60k and the April 2020 statistics are now showing more than 60k. Yet when I asked the ONS representative whether these deaths were with or of covid, the answer was with. She had to admit that the cause of death was actually pneumonia, like the German study on the first 80 attributed deaths of covid. The cause of death was of Pneumonia and with covid. The current death statistics for 2018 is showing a total of 55000 from 05 jan to 26th Jan. Same period that I had calculated 60k deaths. I am sure they will make the excuse that it is the dates from the 1st-5th and 27th to 31st that make up the extra 10k difference if pressed.
