But don't know enough to comment either way. I would say though, selling a t-shirt to help fund your activism isn't enough to prove anything negative. My god, all the out of pocket expenses involved in grass roots activism is crazy. Over the years, I'm personally out of pocket many thousands of bucks on stickers, flyers, tshirts, business cards, etc, etc. I've never asked for a cent from anyone in return. But at some point, you really have to start considering outside funding otherwise you go broke. I'd like to think if I sold a t-shirt at some point to help fund things, that people wouldn't say I'm profiteering. However, always good to be skeptical of too much focus on sales. There might have been a reason they didn't have signs, etc. - probably didn't want to give the police forewarning of the protest. But t-shirts is a good idea, take your coat off once you get there.
