They do not care about you, as an individual human being. In fact 'you' don't really exist. What exists is the whole, the public, the labourers, the sectors. When governments do their work and make their decisions, the individual is rarely considered for as part of the whole the individual is mearly a generic, common and replaceable part of the whole. This is business and government is BIG business. As long as the people are ok on whole then they're in the black and need not concern themselves with random, radical occurrences from within the public. Governments do however occasionally require the direct input of individuals ie a vote, and for this their true nature is confounded as they shamelessly pander down to the very cogs within the massive machine they intend to run. Governments are not only or mainly or even proportionately beholden to their citizens. As we know there is no need to push a swab right to the back of someones nose to get a reading for a PCR test.
