Message added by Grumpy Owl,

This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

Recently I got into an argument with my parents while discussing Covid and me calling out the pandemic as a scam. My stepdad made two 'interesting' comments.

First he said I think too much.

And secondly when he claimed everything was nearly back to normal, I used travelling as an example where it's far from normal, pointing out the extortionate costs of pcr tests and self isolation hotel costs. His response to that was a sneer and 'People should get better paid jobs'.

And when I suggested to my mum not to get a booster jab, all hell broke loose and accusations that such advice was putting her at risk.

The think too much rebuke is the most irritating that I have encountered. It's as if thinking is a negative process. Thinking solves problems, creates solutions and helps us to avoid danger. The human ability to think deeply is what separates us from our fellow animals, if anyone accuses us of thinking too much they indirectly reveal that they don't think enough.

Covid has been successful purely due to lack of thought in our fellow citizens.

I'm confused with Australia, do the public know that the rules and lockdowns versus cases deaths are the most extreme in the world? I was speaking about this to my mrs last night and we couldn't work out if they knew how harsh the whole situation is over there?

Also is the same going on in New Zealand? @skitzorat Aren't you from there?

NZ all blacks rugby stadiums look pretty full to me. Didn’t see any mask wearers either. Probably some. Sure government there will say their measures were what sorted it

He is a funny guy. I do worry about him sometimes though as the irony is lost on most members of public. I've seen him get punched on video a few times. He went out in London on New year's Eve with all the weirdos and scummy characters and got slapped.

There was some dreg about 2 years ago started chasing after him and blocked him from leaving a park saying he could be nonce because he dared engaged with kids. Everyone in the park was in stitches and this chav couldn't handle it. Brainless twat. Of course nonces go around in parks with megaphones for all to see.

I'm honestly glad people like this are about challenging the public especially in convid times it is a big part of the British  eccentric/absurdist? Can't think of the word. Just wished he stop the antalatalist  crap or whatever stupid word they use for being against having kids.

Charlie vietch is probably a shill and is a dodgy character. Complete narcissist needs to grow up. Goes around boasting about how tall he is and craps himself when a 5'5 security guard launches himself at him.

Not sure if the Irish lady at the start is from the conservative women magazine? I recognise her voice from the Delingpole podcast. Think the irony was lost on her. 😂

Sounds exactly like that Laura ? alright from Conservative woman but pretty sure it aint her, its a similar posh Dublin 4 accent though

Means nothing.

He recently compared the Capitol shenanigans to the Kristallnacht, and he donated ~$1 million to the ADL a week before he announced his run for CA Governor.

Soros collaborated with NatSocs, but does he act like one today when he throws money at causes that will destroy Europe?

You cant win ,I dont know what age group your parents are in but many of the older generation are just too set in their way of thinking and or too scared ,trusting ect to change .Not to mention being affected by the applied behavioural psychology being used on the via the mass media .

Im only glad my parents passed away a few years back because I can see a similar situation would have occurred ,not to mention opposition to my views from my sisters as well .

The answer is no the majority don't seem to know ,they have been brainwashed into believing there is a deadly pandemic ,a crisis and an uncontrollable contagion sweeping the country .

If you try to tell people to look rationally at the figures they don't want to . Even if if your try and point put that people are hardly dropping like flies it doesn't matter because they have had the spectre of what happens in other  countries like India and the US shoved down their throats 24/7 on the Tv news .

Also especially  here in NSW ,the obsession with "cases" rather than deaths has been used to create fear and justify more lock downs . Also if you do a quick search to find how many deaths there have been supposedly from the virus in 2021 only all you find is the running total they keep that includes figures from last year and not the actual number who died this year .Plus nonstop coverage of case numbers increasing .

I feel that if more people understood some basic facts about the PCR test and how it works or doesn't work then maybe the would realise that a positive test doesn't mean a "case " or a death or that the person is even ill .Here is already talk about Vaccine Passports here and banning the unvaxxed from shops ect .

There are some who awake but how many there Im not sure .Despite this I feel that eventually a lot of people are going to get very fed up with the restrictions and lockdowns and it will be this, not an awakening that will make people take action .

The madness that is Australia -holding its citizens hostage till they get the jab  😒 and locking down Canberra because of one positive test -yet managing to convince the public there is a deadly pandemic that needs Police and Military intervention

absolutely pathetic , at least they could have got someone a bit more convincing 🤣

It was a dire performance.

There's an outside chance that it was done to mock, knowing that many are so blind that they don't want to see - therefore, it was for the likes of us in order to exasperate.

There's also a million to one chance that the nurse was doing the interview under duress and was sending a message to fence sitters.

I don't believe that either are true and just think that it was pathetic, but I do find myself thinking about every possible move in every scenario because that's how I am wired.

This whole saline thing is very suspect. Can’t remember the guys name but he said 62% of jabbed have tested positive for this blood clot condition which shows microscopic blood clots in the neck. These blood clots can’t be picked up by normal tests. It’s the d dimer test.

What if 62% have been given the real thing and 38% have had saline, placebo or other? What if 100% would test positive given the real shot?

This is very clever because it means it reduces the amount of adverse reactions, making the statistics look better than they actually are. It also means now all the saline stories are coming out, it’s the perfect excuse to make people want to line up for two more jabs, off their own back and all!

To me this proves their intentions for at least the next couple of years, look how long it took them to get two into people, now two more? I do not see an end to this, without total revolution.
